Mission 19 done, fun mission, for some reason i (The Defiling Ruler) was the number one target for most unit attacks, so i am an utility anti mech tank? Very good
One bug noticed, the red ping on the Titan persist even if i killed him
I think that a multiplayer version could work, don't know how but it could work
eeh, every map from #4 and on use a ton of copyrighted material. No arcade for Marauders.
But hey if someone wants to make a Marauders map, feel free. As long as you don't trample on what little canon there is. If you want to use the data from the current maps, let me know and I'll help you decipher it. Spoiler: It's hot garbage.
Good mission with good challenge and the only thing i noticed is that once again there are no differencies between aiur zealot and purifier zealot, one doesn't have AoE and the other doesn't respawn after death ...
i meant that the green box where you write texts doesn't appear on the center of the screen but on the bottom left corner, even on this steal-the-giant-mech mission, good stealth mission, even better when i pick up the big guy, only thing is that objective mark on the minimap doesn't disappear once completed... Can't wait to see that mech in action on the marauder squad
The gameplay is imo a little lacking. Many of the bosses don't output enough damage to kill you (even with the projectiles which you can't dodge). My cycle ends up being clicking the boss, w,e,s (to kill mobs), repeat once w's off cooldown.
Destruction Wave seems to damage your own units for some reason.
Ash worm fight seems a little buggy and annoying
Red circles do not indicate where fire will land, seems to be a 'red circle' of targeting, then another 'red circle' as it launches projectile, giving a tiny amount of time to dodge.
Boss can often burrow before you reach it, you have to hope it unburrows in the same place or you're just stuck inbetween 2 spawn locations
Boss can be hit before unburrowing/while burrowing. The latter leads to some issues with AA animations, where it suddenly stretches across half the map.
Yeah I'm going to be honest, got major burn out with this one. It would have been one map if there was enough space. Probably should have branded it as a murderific minigame, too. Mostly its an excuse to play with the warfactory.
Never saw your third point, Ill look at it. Points 1 and 2 are intentional though.
Your control over the machine feels pretty finicky
You have to move-click ABOVE a unit to get the flamethrower to target something. Not move-click the unit, not below or to the side, above. Also has unlimited range because you can move away while the fighters shoot it and it will still target
Railgun it doesn't really matter where you moveclick, you can click half the screen away and it'll still target unlike the flamethrwer
Bugs/stuff:
You can get the grapple gun twice by going to the right before getting hangar bay
Stuff randomly removes itself from control group bar.
You can get the "let's get to it, old boy" multiple times by entering the mech multiple times while the green + is on it
The south gate reorients when u use it's beacon. Also, as a little "flavour" thing, you should have to be out of mech to use beacon
If you set the hangar on patrol, some fighters will stay in the air
I just ran from the infested and still got the
Move-clicking with the railgun+flamethrower will cause an animation at the back of the weapon, even if there's nothing to target
Mitoscarab spawn will knock up fighters
you can go through doors with the grappler, including the boss dorr
defeated the final boss by luring it to the final boss door, stood behind it, and did 20 damage with my flash welder
Edit 1: (since i posted this while fighting boss) you can grapple while in ending cutscene, which messes up your chars, uhhhh.... position.
Verdict:
Cool map, but the poor controlling of the bot holds it back a lot. Little long.
Big problem with mission 23, the flamethrower cannon is clunky as hell, same for the railgun... Worse of all i can't make the Xantohs pass the door i opened from the inside on the south of the map since is too tight.
I had to grapple the doors and cheat, no other way to win without xanthos, plus the part with the beacon on the water... i never got there, maybe it was the way to open the other locked door... Nice missions but too clunky and bugged imho

Guys, there's 20 maps now. I never though I'd get this far o_o
20 maps? I call uber h4x!
I think you should put a few up on the arcade that meets blizzard standards and invite players here to finish the rest. The maps are a blast!!
@Hockleberry: Go

Just forgot one bug, for some reaso the "write text" window appears on the bottom left corner of the UI, where there's the minimap
@DEFILERRULEZ: Go
The Sentinel (purifier) has more health and shields. The regular zealot is a plain zealot. The Centurion and Sentinel cost 150 instead of 100.
And I have not idea about what you said about "write text". It looks fine on my end.

Hackarena part 2 is up. Only took 5 months.
This one is admittedly simple. More so an excuse to use the mech some more.
Hey acidragoon, long time no see.
How are you.
Good to see you back to mapping again.

Oh, next map is based on Lost Planet 3
So ummm I played the latest mission:

New one is out. Cold as Ice. This probably could have been it's own campaign if someone else had made it.
The next one is under the working title "The Great Roach Migration"

Trying your hardest to break my stuff again I see lol.
Fixed most of it. I'm really note sure what the heck is up with the xanthos though. If only they would let us open the nova maps.

DEFILERRULEZ is correct at all points.
Some additions: you can hook up most cliffs by grappling the pixel below the edge of the "no placement" no-go zone.
You can go up the right cliff by hooking just below the right pipe (you'll go past the pipe, go further into the cave and voila)
All the issues I found (except the weapon specific ones) seem to be fixed.
One more point, you may want to make it a bit clearer you need to get IN the warthingy, confused me at first.

Can there be a sneaky marauder named Masked Imposter? :D
Doesn't even have to be involved in the story. Maybe just sneaks around the map like a critter or something :P
