From my point of view, Tokyo Ghoul is quite good, but not one of my top. Akame ga Kill!, in fact, is one of those top, along with Death Paredez Shigatsu wa kimi no uso and Fairy Tail.
Not a fan of Animes, only DBZ i liked, but only because it was funny and it brings memories, not interested on "Anorexia: How to" aka "Tokyo Ghoul", I know it from a ytp that I watched times ago
Well, there aren't a lot of anime that a western audience would like, especially if they're of an older age group.
Considering most people here are fans of StarCraft and at least know the story, I'd recommend trying out the show Psycho Pass. It's a sci-fi detective story in a seemingly utopian society where crime is mostly non-existent. There's this technology that allows one's psychological make up can be scanned, basically determining how likely they are to commit a crime or how guilty they are for committing one. It's got really nice animation, directing, and soundtrack, plus the dub is actually really really good. Give it a shot
Haven't watched it but I've heart of it. I'd like to watch it someday in the near future, maybe this summer. I'll watch it along with others like Death Note, Shingeki no Kyojin and One Piece (continui watching it).
Tri gun was my fav Amnie then sword art online bummed out they have season 3 in attack in Titan but not release it because author won't wright more seasons. Hunter x hunter I also a great one dead mans wonder land is a steep cliff that drops to nothing don't watch. Recommended tri gun watch it.
I liked both seasons of SAO so much, and I'm waiting for VR of it to come out. It's under develpment right now. That world will be possible in a near future :D
There lot's of types of anime. Maybe the ones you've watched aren't the ones you really seek/like. Try searching on pages for something you like: mecha, shounen, shojou...
My friend I have watched a lot of anime and I know exactly what I like. Judging by the shows you people are posting, very few of them would be appealing to you.
How on earth can you people recommend SAO to people, especially the second season. The Phantom Bullet arc was the most boring padded train wreck I've seen to completion in years.
As for FMA, well if you've watched it you'll know how good it is. I also recommend that anime, the Brotherhood adaptation more so than the 2003 adaptation
It's true SAO 2 sucks (despite my sister and me liked it, both seasons). The fact that I really like from it is the villain: Death Gun. I find him quite tricky and all of the story behind it it's so... weird, I could say. Btw I can recommend some anmies such as Akame ga Kill! Ansatsu Kyoshitsu, Log Horizon (it's like an improvement to SAO in what loyalty to those kind of videogames' rules means) or even Zankyo no Terror.
Well, since this turned into a sort of anime recommendation thread, I guess I'll post a couple I think people should at least try (not counting the ones others have recommended)
Death Parade (2015) | Fantasy Drama | 12 Episodes | Mad House
What many people don't realize is that OPM is partly a parody of super hero stories in general. The fact that his power is literally to kill things in one punch is the joke.

Season 2 ending was the most depressing thing I have ever seen in anime

I feels so alienated right now since I've watched the shows you people are talking about and have liked none of them...

Cheer up. For what it matters I watched and really liked PsychoPass. Tho I eat up anything cyberpunk related :>
(Also I couldn't force myself to watch past first few episodes of TG. The disservice anime does to source material is mindboggling.)
If you like steampunk then maybe consider SAO 2 or perhaps Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

That's probably a good selection of shows I like that I think others would like as well. Take your pick
One Punch Man.
I was sceptical at 1st, i mean the dude can 1 hit kill everyone. How boring is that.
By the time reach episode 6th i was able to draw saitama face without any problem.
My projects : The Hammer of Dawn, Noir : Automata, Noir : Evolution, Noir : Ascension, Hammer of Dawn Revamp
Many awesome projects : Custom Campaign Initiative
