As part of the preparation to get you guys on the modern platform we talked about in the other thread we started taking some stabs at a new skin. Let me know what you guys think. Please keep in mind this is a first draft and not based on live content, but I wanted this to be an iterative process between us all.

It looks nice, but also a bit plain, maybe work in some gold, similar to how HOTS was brown and orange for zerg, blue and gold for protoss. But overall it looks decent.
Now for some questions:
1). Is that how the front page would be laid out, or would it be similar to how it currently is?
2). When we port over will all the projects be moved over or will we have to start anew?
3). Will the wiki have the forum wiki imported into it, and the link up top actually link to it?
can START your Project have aome sort of selection, ie Tower Defense, campaign, moba, rpg, radical, melee, etc that way we can have some intro guides and starter maps for people to check out.
Going to have to disagree here. The theme, as it is, is clean and simple. I don't think that cluttering it would do it justice. LotV is the Protoss expansion, and Protoss should be in the spotlight.
i miss the latest posts section, the events can be cut out, our last ones are from 2012 and wte will do fine even without frontpage support. i am also wondering if there wont be any projects on the front page anymore.
What does this mean?! It will mean that the spam can be eradicated faster ?????? Can this mean that the EVENTS from 2012 will not be seen????
Will this mean that the currents events for WTE , TRIGGERS DATA and finally W3 will be hiding and harder to find???? Will the last posts will be seen???
When somebody post a new tread will that be easily accessible???? Or do we have to dig and dig to find it????? Make it clear CURSE or you will not help but kill the site. As you can see today we are FLOODED with SPAM again. Can you give more power to the MODS to fix simple things such as NAME CHANGE is not that i want to be more WAR like is that i dont get it why my name change DAMN YOU CURSE make it SIMPLE!!!!! :-)
Is that possible to implement some posts history per community member, so i can easily track topics that contain my posts? It is usefull because i often go offline for a few days/weeks and it's easy to lost interesting discussion. Or maybe i helped someone in data forum and go offline, but that person requested further clarification for his issue. This is something a lot of good forums have.
I'm taking this in and will post some new mocks sometime soon. Keep the feedback coming! :D

inbox should have a default option for filter so if we might have to report spam in the future i want them at least filtered out or deleted after it was done. the need to upload a file when creating a new project seems out of place, this only makes sense for campaigns (aslong as the arcade doesnt allow huge file numbers + size).
With all due respect your frustrations, I understand the spam issues. My team is going in daily cleaning out loads and responding to every report people put in. The volume is high, we understand that, but also please understand that it's not a simple fix.
These designs are a step towards having you guys on a better platform. A platform that we can use to address the spam, and other issues head on.

How is the progress going on this? Our General Forum is flooded with spam. You should change the title of this thread to New Mapster website or something...New Theme doesn't really pop out.
I like the aesthetics, but it misses some functional elements. Some kind of 'events' calendar would be nice - right now there is no place for the WTE to go, for example. Obviously the dead exercises could be removed, but the calender could also mark important Blizzard-related events, such as Blizzcon and Rock the Cabinet deadlines.
One other feature perhaps less related to the theme is some kind of function to find single player maps - be it files or projects that tell you how to find the maps in the arcade. These kind of products are very niche but do tend to have a bit of a hardcore audience - providing them with a home would help keep Mapster the #1 site for SC2 mapping.
Though I'm not sure if you guys have the funds and time, having Protoss, Zerg and Terran themes would be a cool addition.

My guide to the trigger editor (still a work in progress)

Sorry got so excited!!! Makes sense....clean and simple. Can the little satellite from Brood War go in the corner?
I agree with a little spice, particularly with text colors and the like, but it looks phenomenal!
