Glazes are a powerful new type of actor introduced in 3.0 that allow you to apply their materials to another model (similar to how the cloaking effect works). I've taken the liberty of compiling all of the current glaze models from Heroes of the Storm for use in your maps. The Asset Package contains a mod (uploaded and unlocked in all regions as "Heroic Glazes") and an example map with each glaze configured.
Note that the Void Shadow glaze is from the LotV Prologue dependency and is NOT included in the mod file. Also note the Monk's Dash glaze uses a one shot animation.
Very Cool. It makes me want to add the storm glaze to units, change their opacities, then enter a regular SC2 map into the RTC contest and say it's fantasy because all the units are ghosts, but not the spec ops kind. lol
those new actors seem to replace the old swap texture by id method. i like!
Not precisely, from what I've seen texture by in some ways has more control, this is more for overlaying texture effects (with animations) dynamically. They serve different purposes really. At least as far as the glaze options are concerned.
Nice pirate, those could come in all sorts of handy for spell effects, weather changes, etc. Are those most recent glazes part of the download now as well? I'd definitely have more use for those ones than the ones previously seen.

i guess you meant Model Materials
These all look really cool! I wonder what more kinds of glazes we'll get with LotV.
OOOO !!! it was searching for a long time
Crusader Falling Sword (2nd one) is just begging for a DBZ map :D
Thanks for this pack! Model Materials/Glazes look like they have a LOT of potential.
From my own researches Glazes are one type of Model Material but I think all the ones in this pack are the glaze type.

This is correct. You can also use model materials to replace a model's texture material.
All of the models in this pack are glazes, which are applied on top of the model's existing material

Can someone tell me wich hero uses "Void Shadow" glaze ?
@DEFILERRULEZ: Go
None, it's from the LotV prologue. As such I didn't include it in the assets package.

That is some really good stuff! I'll replace my former unit glow method with this (glazes are more noticeable). Good job!
