These maps are based on the above SC1 mod/maps by maverck and work by Blizzard (of course) and Ultraling and Jones313. They are fully backward-compatible with the previous Terran and Zerg campaign maps. Many thanks, props and much love to all who contributed. I could NEVER have completed this project without all their hard work.
Also thanks to Forsworne for the non-glowy Tassadar model and b0ne123 for the Kerrigan and Tassadar Hero Icons.
Special thanks as well to Telenil who has been quite helpful with detailed descriptions of errors and issues; also to Superfield and Jimm3110 for all the feedback and suggestions. Some of the changes and improvements would not have been done without these good fellows.
These maps are a labor of love. I learned the SC2 Editor on my own, through inference and other maps. These maps took about 6 months to complete in my spare time.
I am interested in the possibility of being a professional programmer, developer, or game designer.
I have not made these maps seeking to make any profit nor do I claim any ownership over the contents. Most of the work was done in advance by Blizzard and the people who made the SC1 Terran and Zerg campaigns.
That being said, if you like the maps please donate on my SC2Mapster page. Thanks and enjoy.
These maps are meant to be re-creations of the original game. I have added/tweaked a number of things from the original SC1mod.SC2mod file. I have included some small surprises as well in the maps, if you explore a bit.
I would like to thank all you dedicated players of StarCraft and RTS's without which this project would be pointless. I hope you all can enjoy these maps as much as I do. En Taro Adun!
4/48/2013 - Is everyone else enjoying Heart of the Swarm as much as I am?? Fantastic campaign, Blizzard. So many good things about it, even if I don't want to spoil it for you, I might spoil it just by mentioning them... Anyhow, just an update, I am finishing school right now so in a few weeks I will have more time to pick these up again and make some more tweaks. Thanks for your patience people.
5/15/2014 - It has been a while since I last posted here, but I just wanted to inform everyone that I will be back to rebalance/debug the maps and mods once the final (Protoss) expansion is out. I haven't played SC2 that much since I got hooked on GuildWars 2 (a game I highly recommend if you like RPGs or WoW-style quest games), but I am eagerly awaiting the new expansion so you will likely see more of me once that happens. Cheers!
4/1/2012 - Final versions of Maps posted.
New Zerg Maps 4 & 5 (non-fps): Zerg 4 & 5 (someday)
PLEASE NOTE - UNZIP THE MAPS TO YOUR "MAPS" FOLDER, THEY SHOULD BE IN A FOLDER NAMED "3. THE FALL".

YOU MUST USE THESE MAPS WITH THE MOST UP TO DATE MOD, or they might not work correctly.
Please make sure you have the Mod in the StarCraft II/Mods folder and the Maps in the StarCraft II/Maps/3. The Fall folder (normally in the 'Program Files' directory - NOT the SC2 folder in 'My Documents').

I know, I am sorry. I have been working overtime on the new versions of the maps, to include harder difficulties. It has taken me longer than I expected but I am almost done. I will be releasing the Russian version just as soon as I am done with them, so within a week or so.
christdaugherty was promised a month ago Russian translation. When can we expect? Thank you!
I am in the same situation as dnisroch. But the problem begins even earlier. During the briefing portion of the levels, the background is absent and only appear as a purple/blue colour. The portraits of the heroes aren't there as they talk. Then when in game, when a hero is meant to be discovered or appear. They are not there, the game thinks that they have died imediately.... and then its all over.

The Editor doesn't allow you to change the directory (except for making it lower) that it finds further maps in. So I could make it look in a directory such as /Starcraft II/Maps/The Fall/Campaign, but not in User/SC2, for example.
The Editor looks in the /Starcraft II/Maps folder for further maps. That is how it works; any complaints should be directed to Blizzard...
Tried this on the OS X version, Map 1 crashes when you find fenix :/
У меня таже проблема что и в "Mnemonic1984"! В редакторе StarcraftII вибивает ошибку "Предупреждение: Невозможно загрузить 'MapInfo' из 'Безымянная карта'" после чего карта не запускается!
Christ i find the way to have two supply list of 200,instead of one 400 supply list. Try this map,u can see the PSY of your ally. http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/campaign-co-op-vs-ai-prophecy-vo/#comments So my idea is that,do supply of player protoss, and suply of terran player that u control because he had left the game. What do you think about that?
I'm glad you have an update now Chris! :D
I installed it in "C:\Games\StarCraft II" and have no problem.
@christdaugherty: Go Quote: Make sure the maps are in the folder, Program Files/StarCraft II/Maps. They must be in the top level of this folder.
@christdaughterty: unfortunately I didn't install it into the Program Files directory. The full path to my maps is q:\Starcraft02\StarCraft II\Maps. I installed Starcraft 2 into a separate partition with the mount point at q:\Starcraft02. Rather than having one single partition for all my files, I divided my hard drive into different partitions. I didn't have any problems with the Zerg and Terran campaigns. I hope the location of the Maps and Mods isn't hard-coded. If they are, please make it so that they're relative to the Starcraft II directory instead of hard-coding it. Whoever created this campaign series for SC2 has to realise that not everyone installs into the Program Files directory!!!
Thanks.
I've tried the newest version and one lower version, and it appears as if the Protoss mission 7, Homeland, is broken. As soon as it starts I fail the mission due to Fenix supposedly dying. There is no way around this.
Yes I have the newest versions in the right folders.
Concerning map10 hard, I downloaded that map separate from the initial release, it seems that I never get attacked in that map, computer only defends itself but never sends an attacking force, any suggestions?
Thanks! I'll wait for the unified mod file then.
@JackMonty101: Go
The mod is obviously compatible with all three campaigns, and most of the changes I've made are in this version as well. Perhaps not all of them, but we are finishing our biggest mod update to date, so everything will be unified in the coming weeks.
Hi All,
This might be a bit of a stupid question but is the latest mod file C.3.1 compatible with the Zerg and Terran Campaign - the first post states it is backwards compatible but I know there were some changes by Telenil for mod file C.2.3 - are these incoprated into mod file C.3.1?
Thanks

Make sure the maps are in the folder, Program Files/StarCraft II/Maps. They must be in the top level of this folder.
@evgen777666: Go
After the next release; or within a few weeks or so. Sorry for the delay.
When I download the mod and the maps, I install the mod, and move maps into my SC2 maps folder. Then, when I want to turn on the game (I copy the map file and paste into the shortcut of SC2), it says: UNABLE TO OPEN MAP. I've installed Rebel Yell map pack already, and it works perfectly. SOMEBODY HELP, PLEASE !!!
Hello! When will the Russian translation of the company? thank you

(In my best Futurama voice-) GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!
I figured out what was making Maps 9 and 10 much easier than they were supposed to be...
They will be corrected in the next update. //
Wuhoo! I can't wait for that update to come! hahaha! I'm pretty sure there were just triggers which needed to be edited.
