Since updating I'm unable to load custom maps in Editor. I go to test document and I get an error saying it can't find the SC Switcher or it's out of date or something like that. Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm recieving this issue myself. Hsven't been able to figure out if there's a solution for this.

I did not read anything about Trysent posting. Its just frustrating what is happening with this patch. First what happening to the maps, second the importing and things just banishing, the lack of import textures. In game chat system completely overhaul never tested. When in game all the chat overloads your screen.
I do have to say the terrain tools are awesome and 16 textures is a dream come true I love Blizzard for that and map hights are AMAZING to play with never before i seen such things on the editor or dream to have them available so kudos for that to BLIZZ !!!! I just need to vent out thats all Im not a hater just a passive one>.:-)
Hey, I am a Mac user and I also have this issue. I am running the new OS X El Capitan (I don't think this influences the battle.net app compared to Mac OS X Yosemite).
The behavior is different whether Starcraft 2 is already running or not, but Test Document won't work either way. I'm posting more details about the bug here to help any blizzard developer working on this issue.
Situation A: Starcraft 2 not running
I launch the editor without opening the game. After I open any map (even the simplest one with nothing) with the editor and then Test Document, I get this error:
Error: Unable to execute '/Applications/StarCraft II/Support\SC2Switcher.app'
Now, I tried different things with system permissions:
allow anyone to execute/read/write the SC2Switcher.app
allow read/write on all files in the Starcraft 2 folder (at some point I had a message where it could not write to Test/EditorTest)
This didn't change the problem.
Situation B: Starcraft 2 running
When I try to Test Document with Starcraft 2 running, nothing happens. (The only thin that happens is the Terrain window get minimized, which we can configure in the editor Preferences->Test).
I tried to open the game in 3 different ways:
"play" from the battle.net app
open the Starcraft 2 app
open the SC2Switcher.app (to do so, go to /Applications/Starcraft2/ then right click the "Support" folder and "Display package contents". This app is in the contents.) It actually launches Starcraft 2.
All 3 ways have the same behavior (nothing happens).
Edit: these posts in the main thread about patch 3.0 editor bugs mention the same problem:
If map testing is not working try uninstalling and reinstalling. If you have a fast internet (with good download cap) it should take at most a few hours.
The only problem I have with the new editor is that when opening a map which requires online mods you need to login to BattleNet in the editor before opening the map or else the login prompt will be unselectable (so you cannot enter details or press login) due to the modal loading status frame.
What you need to do is to select the map you want to play; select map, right click, Open With, select Other..., search for the SC2Switcher.app, select Enable All Applications, select SC2Switcher, then click Open.
This will load the map so you can play a game with it. One problem however, there is no Save game in the Options so you will have to play the map all the way to the end without stopping to play it all. Not great I know but it's better than nothing. But I tried this way and it works, hope it works for you.
We have a fix for this and it will be deployed in the patch we're releasing this week. Thanks for the reports!
Do you know if the patch will contain actor fixes? Specifically action actors? This will save me and other people quite some work which we dont wanna do in vain. (switching the action actors to other types of actors and remaking them cause they dont work anymore).

and more importantly a Local / GATEWAY_HASH_MISMATCH bug that is like the worst.. and is preventing me from publishing !?
(i know .. possibly it would be fixed if i was any good at this.. or had help.. but i am not apparently, at all (sadpanda)
You spend weeks on stuff and then you remember you still have to wait for a stable toy or you/I will still get these "pull your hair to thee neuron hours wasted" on trying to salvage pre patch stuff

ps: was real fun to get the message that my map would not be published because it had "blank name" as its gb locale.. very fun

I'm a Mac user, and can't test my maps. And I haven't patched yet (the program just quits after the loading reaches a certain level).

I get the same error about loading the switcher on my Mac. Suboptimal.
This last update has broken everything. I cannot publish my map.
I wonder if Blizzard reads this treads and see how much has happen or they just dont care?!

Mac Users, good news. A Mac Users on the Battle.net Starcraft 2 Forum has discovered a work around for the Editor not working for custom maps.
