For this week's WTE, we'll use a simple theme suggested by HydraMannequin: "Imitation". The idea is that you pick any real-life building, scenario or event and try to terrain that within the editor. Whether it's the Empire State Building, a winter day in Poland, or Columbus landing in America is up to you. Extra points if people guess what you terrained without you revealing it.
Huh, when I saw the name Imitation I thought it was going to be a challenge to get people to do their own version of someone's entry for a previous WTE.
We've had a similar theme before where people made adjustments to the terrains of the people posted before them. May be able to do something with that again, though...
I know this is a bit off topic, as that it is not real life, But this is in reference to a particular summer blockbuster. I made it while fooling around in the editor a bit, and the result was just too beautiful not to share haha. So I guess mine is, guess the movie it is from!
Hope someone makes something interesting and actually real ;)
hahaha, yeah, it was a pretty bad movie. :) (Battleship for anyone who doesn't know) one of those movies were the graphics and one or two famous actors were the only real redeeming factors.
It is all done with pitch and roll, a singular doodad is copied and pasted on the same X and Y Coordinate and tilted by 10 degrees, and then tilted in the other direction slightly so the textures don't mesh, and the jagged texture is created. So it is made up of 4 or 5 different doodads that have been pitched and rolled into a full circle. (it is also made of about 240 doodads)
Oh it's from Battleship 2012? Yeah and the US Army did it again - kicked those evil alien butts... I think I liked the last episode of V series (2011) much more.

Weekly Terraining Exercise #158
Hey people!
Good luck and have fun!

The actual theme should be good though :)

You mean like the Agents of SHIELD TV series did to that one mass effect building?

This feels awfully familiar...
That aside, I think that replicating another's terrain would be an interesting WTE.

That's forgiveable, if you ask me.
Now, what if he posted anything from Michael Bay? xD
Joecab, ypur link didn't work. I have fixed it by putting a question mark so it doesn't know that it was hotlinked
Edit: nevermind, the parser doesn't like me so I'll just make it an embedded image.
oh goodness... I think i have accidentally hijacked a thread haha (back on topic! :) )
