I've been absolutely stupidly busy lately, not getting to do much of anything. I'll extend this one by a week for you guys since we haven't had any replies. At least the threads are up to date again now.
I made a small compound on the forest being raided by raynor (simple idea)
So what i did was i made a small piece of terrain, added only the doodads that show on camera then i edited the rest on the cutscene editor, changed the world light, added some basic spotlights, characters, anims for the characters and then rendered it ingame once the cutscene was done.
I originally intended to add some marines attacking the front of the base but the animations looked weird and it didnt achieve the look i desired.
Looks good guys try adding some more grass FOLIAGE. The tools is in the terrain tap increase or decrease to you think it looks fine. It also adds movement to the foliage.
Actually, I just realized that if you go to the generate foliage tab, crank it up to maximum density and size, and then Generate it, the foliage would look like a massive forest...
Also, although I like your terrain, I always keep myself from using cliffs. Mostly because they don't look natural... When I try to make a realistic cliff, I just use the terrain mesh editing brush and create a sizable cliff. Then I take that cliff, and cover every nook and cranny with rocks and boulders...
Weekly Terraining Exercise #255
Hello!
Mozared has been busy lately so I will post new WTE this week.
This week's theme is "Forest". It can be coniferous forest, deciduous forest or tropical forest. As long as there are lot trees its fine.
Good luck & have fun!

I decided I would play with the Jarban tileset a bit with this :)
Looking for feedback on my custom races extension mod called "Scion Custom Races (Mod)"
Idk what this is, its probably a outpost or relay station... Up to you to decide...
Supernova134: What is the doodad used on burning trees? (flame)
AlexanderNova: Looks good. I really like how that camp is cutted to the forest and area is surrounded by fence.

I used the Nova - DOM Fire Large on the ground, and the Void - Reentry Fire on the higher parts of the trees.
