So since when has this been here? http://wiki.sc2mapster.com/ An actual proper wiki, it looks so much nicer.
Edit: Looking at the mainpage history, it looks like since 12th of march.
You weren't supposed to find out about that until we were ready to news it >:(
But....Yes, this does exist (this isn't an April fools joke, I promise), it's ours, and it's official. We've all been working behind the scenes to get the basic pages and categories set up. Once those were ready we were going to make an announcement and get people involved in setting things up, but you, er..... got a head start :P
Now, that said, please hold your horses when it comes to copying over information to the wiki. We're going to be reorganizing things so that we can redirect links from the old wiki to the new one, but we've got a specific set of rules we need to follow in order for that to work (otherwise like half the links on mapster are going to break). So even though I'm sure you're super anxious, don't make any more pages/edits until we can finalize the organization plan, and then share that plan with you guys.
If you're looking for actual information, continue to use the original "sc2mapster.com/wiki" section for now, it's actually got all the content.
So this begs the question...How in the world did you find that? Were you just testing out random url's until something worked? Or are you a spy who broke into our secret hideout? :P
On a more serious note: It was set up recently, and we (DrSuperEvil mostly) have been moving pages over there, but it's slow. The wiki is not ready yet and the "weird" one we have had up to now is still better due to it actually having content. We're still messing around with how we're gonna organise things and so on, so people, please don't touch anything unless one of the other mods (Im about to log off) gives the green light.

My guess is he was trying to go directly to the existing wiki via the address bar *shrug*
Of course now you've revealed the existance of a SC2 Mapster Secret Hideout :)

The wiki.sc2mapster.com link was used to redirect to the sc2mapster.com/wiki, I think. I got there from:
You've been making great tutorials and the forum is not really good to show more than 10 tutorials. This is why I've setup a sorted listing of all the tutorials on the wiki.
On a serious note... Everyone should stay away from the new Wiki until it's ready. Messing with it will only delay the ETA of it's release, and cause more work for us.
I saw it quite some few days ago, but seemed so crude that I actually thought it was an older version of the wiki and didnt care much for it. Some 404 sent me there too,
I could not find a template for data (only for triggers). Is this the appropriate way to write the wiki? I have seen a lot of bullet lists, is that the prefered way of writing?
I have been thinking about writing some overview tutorials on how to work with AI, difficulty and dialogs. If I would add them to the new wiki they would be updatable by other users, in case things change. They would also get a unified formatting ( the tutorials in the forum section look very different from each other). Should I write these tutorials into the new wiki or in the tutorials forum?
The banners seems to have been adjusted to their proper location. Now I have some other comments:
The Brown/orange color of external links is a bit dark. It's hard to see in a bright environment.
The page-content box should have a fixed width, same as the banner. Depending on the window size it sometimes pushes all content down by the distance of its height.
I'm also wondering if it would be ok to remove the Blizzard category in tutorials, integrate them into the others and split the Trigger section into two parts.
Edit: I removed the bullets from the tutorials page and replaced them with br elements, this makes the Icons pop out much more. It can be reversed through history.

Nothing to see here, move along.

It looks much more inviting when it comes to adding stuff to it :)

It is called backstage and is the mod only forum.

As for you, next time you make a page please use formal language and give full details as to the functions.

Main issue is making sure what we do copy across is up to date. The last few patches have added and renamed a lot of fields.

Great to be back and part of the community again!
You guys need to add a Cutscene Editor Section. But I'm glad this is happening.

The data template is just to the right of the trigger template.

The wiki default text color should not be white, a gray color is better. If the bold text would be made white then it would pop out a lot more.
The level 3 and 4 headers look almost the same. If level 4 headers would be made non-bold they would be easier to differentiate.
@Monkalizer: Go
I say add them to the wiki. The tutorials forum is in need of a cleanup with all the dated material.
Do not know how to change that or even if I can.

Thank you guys for doing this, it's been an amazing help for me. Hopefully I can give back to this community as I get better.
Best way to learn is to experiment in an objective fashion.
And do not forget about the old wiki.

Considering blizzard tutorials are the most comprehensive and most likely to be right ones. I think they deserve their own section.
I did not choose it but orange is the SC2Mapster colour.
Do not know how to fix that.
