But then on the other hand, there is a core nature to most people, only a few has some dangerous ideas. These ideas when turned into a belief, and gives false purpose becomes the real problem. Especially when a person driven by destructive appetites drives and exploits those who lack vision.
It's not the people on this side of the argument, rather the driving principle. As once was said,
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]."
Not talking about demons either, but could we could go that direction in order to separate the puppet from the puppetteer, which is/are erroneous things of the mind.
Thats a good point, but well, he already did what he needed to, others now know that "belief", enough others so that it spreads further even without a leader. If you can stop the leader while he has little or no followers, thatll be better, but once there's enough people behind him, stopping him won't be as effective because he can get replaced and he doesn't need to spread the beliefs in person.
Lets compare it to the church, or any other religion. Killing the pope doesnt get you anything except the headlines, neither does killing a priest. There's so many people that the belief just spreads/lives on on its own kind of. Now, if the church about 2000 years ago only had about 30 people, and you just killed off their leader before he could "convert" too many people and "teach" enough about his beliefs, it's highly unlikely that it will spread further. Osama had a long time to do this, there are people that can replace him by now (maybe not as the leader, but as someone who can spread the "belief")
Some people claimed Obama wasn't born in the USA, meaning he wouldn't be eligible to be the president, so were demanding to see his birth certificate. Its just been released.
50.000.000 dollars to whoever get Osama bin Laden... Boy, this man must be pretty rich by now...
I still wonder if they could have avoided killing him though. I'm pretty sure it would have been very useful to have him captured, because as many of you already said, someone will take his place soon enough. Killing Osama, as a whole, is not enough if you want to hit them hard. You also need to get the entire "hierarchy" following him, or it could get worse with whoever comes next.

Exactly, and this is why my firm belief is that whatever you do in the name of things you cannot know for certain, you should never touch other people with it. I don't mind if you're a homosexual buddhist-christian ethnic minority pedophile, as long as you keep it all to yourself and never in any way bug anyone else with these beliefs and ideas.
I personally don't like the idea of people celebrating his death but honestly he got what was coming to him he killed over 3,000 people on 9/11 and many more before and after.
Right, and how many innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan have the US army killed? Probably more.
Also, this will do absolutely nothing. Think what would happen if a terrorist attack killed Barrack Obama. The west would be sad, but Al Qaeda would be celebrating. Then the US would bomb the hell out of Afghanistan trying to kill the terrorists. Then a new president will be elected. Same thing will happen with this, but reversed. Chances are Al Qaeda will attack a US city then a new leader will step up. Net profit: Morale boost followed by nothing changing.
That said, this is a step forward in the war on terrorism.
Alas, so much cheering through out the world
at least so0Ome posters stated that
people cheering at a lynching is just plain wrong.
One should prosecute.. in a civilized world. And definitely never revel in murder.
i'm appalled that EVERY outlet is discussing anything but this sordid evolution in "advertising" :(
A figure head is just a figure head, a "Nuremberg style" trial is really something else.. something no gvmt will ever let themselves be subjected to anymore...
When considering 9/11 (and many Al quieda related "war" attacks), one must always also consider the gals/guys who actually committed these atrocities.. those who prepped them, those who helped, those who paid.. those who collected and maybe mostly who profits.. cause usually that's who is really responsible in the first place.
Plus, why even divulge the fact that they did "kill him"?. Seems "national emergency" use seems more and more ridiculous from ALL governments...
Loved the "smoke/terrorism" analogy.. should we also lynch "great tobacco"?
(i'm a smoker of course) ;)
i come from Holmes and Lupin literature and i always think (whether i'm involved or not) :
who profits?
(military appropriations? Terror after glam (princess wedding) selling paper? keeping everything "on the roll")
Imagine it like this: an execution by electrocution (think Green Mile), the guy gets fried and dies, then the crowd/audience starts dancing and cheering. wouldn't that just freak you out?
For those of you who need a book to tell you what to do:
Quote from Prov. 24:17:
Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles.
I honestly despise the fact that my fellow Americans are celebrating it I mean I understand the man has done his crimes and people we're seriously hurt by it but come on seriously! You shouldn't be glad when your enemy dies. (Unless its a game of BFBC2) I personally always thought that we should of worked it out with communication rather then going to war with one another but people tend to disagree.

Most incidents from the best of my knowledge and I study the news/politics and history allot most of those we're probably a accident as in Miscommunication/ Misunderstanding/ OR the killer of the innocent probably was a murderer him/her self. We don't kill innocents every chance we get unlike Al-Qaeda which bombs American embassy's/ bombs multiple countries and is an actual Terrorist organization. Also I never got why they kill and hurt people or even enemies when its totally against Islam religion and is against the Quran.
I'm also sorry if anyone find any of what i'm saying offensive in any sort of way I don't mean it.
Well it all went full circle at the expense of billions of dollars to terminate one indivudual. The CIA made him the threat he became to the world and by the same hands he was ended. In other words another cold war blunder by the American foreign policy.
I think the saddest part about it is they are cheering because they got "revenge" for 9/11. But The funny part is I bet the US Government is behind 9/11 much more then Osama was.
The Clues just don't ADD UP. I for one am not going to just trust my government because I think they have already showed us that they are manipulative.
I think He is officially dead... But i don't know when he actually died... Mby he died 2 years ago and the government was not sure and was making sure.
It just sucks that we are to the point that we can't trust our own government and we all have to question everything.
( oh and i know If the American Government thought i was illegal and required my birth certificate.. I know they wouldn't accept one 2 1/2 years later seems plenty of time to fake one ) His birth certificate was released a little over 2 weeks ago.. Ask yourself what took so long?
Obama's mom was a citizen. So regardless of where he was born or who his father is or anything else, he is a legal citizen. The certificate doesn't matter when it comes to his citizenship. And I'm not just saying that because I'm an Obama lover; in fact, I really dislike what Obama has done so far in his presidency. Osama probably died a week or two before we found out, which is completely reasonable. But I'm so tired of the whole 9-11 conspiracy.
There are so many of these far-fetched theories. Remember when we first went to the moon, and everybody was like "oh, our government must be staging the entire moon landing. Those footprints on the moon are fake, the video is fake, bla bla bla". Obviously we all know now that the moon landing was real, but at the time, a lot of people were thinking the contrary. 9-11 was not a staged attack, it was a bunch of crazy radicals who attacked us. When you said the clues don't exactly "add up", were you referring to 9-11 or the Osama killing?
But I do agree that there's no need for 'revenge' cheering. We killed the man who planed 9-11. We're at war. Our Soldiers don't enjoy killing people. All the people cheering and partying over his death are making matters worse, and all they're doing is provoking Osama's Supporters.

Yeah but imagine if this is just an extremely elaborate ruse to get him to actually make a mistake and reveal his true location? I am just saying the whole thing seems like either they are outright lying about the whole thing or they are covering up a bunch of stuff with half truths and maybe he is dead but I cant escape the feeling that at least a large portion of their story is bullcrap.
I think people use conspiracy theories because they are scared. If our government can land on the moon they seem like gods and can do whatever they want. We need something to keep control, oh it was fake so they aren't as godly as you think. The thing with 9/11 was that some people are just stupid and don't believe most of the world hates the United States. We're the youngest country and we're thinking of ourselves as bigshots because we came into the World Wars late to bail the others out after a lot of fighting already happened.
Anyways he probably was killed last week and all the news being told now is to allow people to think it's current, they wouldn't be able to respond to any terrorist cells within the country if they announced the death right after it happened. Look at airports, cops have assault rifles on them clearly visible to all now. I don't think that would have gone through the system unless they had at least a week time.
I find it hilarious. We're total hypocrites. We are disgusted that some people in the Middle East were happy we were attacked and that a lot of our citizens were killed. Now we kill one guy and think that it's all over. I love how we Americans don't see reality. I love the movies that always depict the motive of the bad guy as America is too use to its peace and that our peace creates war for other countries. Probably why I liked Pein from Naruto

People cling to conspiracy theories because they tend to be the only theories that explain everything. People point out missing information in more rational theories and jump to the conclusion that they must be wrong because they cannot answer every possibly question. It's not that strange, as it feels very safe and powerful to 'hang on to' a theory that explains all poverty, terrorism and major political actions in the entire world. Problem is that just because they explain everything, they're not immediately right.

Turns out there's quite a lot of people creeped out by Americans dancing over Osama's death. Glad I'm not alone. And don't tell me they were celebrating "justice" and not his death, they were burning his pictures and shouting like crazy that he's dead.
