I'm not sure if it's just the people you play or what. But from the videos I've seen pros are using the new units. zerg has gotten the most with swarm host being the most viable units. Ultralisk are about the same but now you can make em do basically a zealot charge without the chance of taking damage. Protoss has deathball and mass air. But that's because protoss got the short end of the stick. Terran can go mech play now instead of just marine tank. I don't even see mmm much anymore it's usually siege and marines with medivacs thrown in. From what I've seen they did what they wanted. Gave terran a more viable mech play, gave zerg a counter to the deathball if they think about what they're doing. I'm not sure what they were trying to do for protoss since they really didn't get much except possibility of going mass air but really you just throw in one or two tempest and it stays the same as the normal game.
Also I believe Warcraft is what made them famous, it was first.
I don't understand the rage. The shield battery or whatever it was called in scbw wasn't really useful afaik. Protoss didn't really get new anything to require a new building. Fleet Beacon is kind of like a cruiser class thing for protoss so that covers any big cruisers. Oracles are just simple units and no one would use them if it required an extra building.
Terran doesn't need a hidden units, they have ghosts. The battle hellions being build-able from inside is good. If you have a lot of lings or an some weak guys about to come up the ramp you would rather have battle hellions out instead of hellions who would have to take time to transform. More defensive structures for what? Terran has bunkers and missile turrets which covers the ground and air. Protoss has photon cannons which cover ground and air. Zerg has spore and spine crawlers which cover ground and air. It would just be redundant to include more defensive structures.
That worm unit sounds horrible, it wouldn't be used for tanks at all. It would be used to attack workers and harass the mineral line just like the shredder was. Everything is pretty balanced the way it is right now. But in the beta protoss has gained nothing significant to change their style of play.
From the way blizzard made it sound I would have thought it would have came out with 1.5 but nope. So I'm just losing hope in ever seeing this for WoL or even HotS. Why would they bring it up when WoL was out if they weren't going to release it in WoL?
I thought terran was the definition of op. The easiest way to deal with swarm hosts is to make sure you have detection and get a tempest to take em out from afar while you have a line of ground units to deal with the units they spawn.
But the warhound really is strong. They should lower it's range and damage and have an upgrade for range. Don't they shoot farther than immortals?
The people who have suspsicious activity on their account you might have gotten hacked. I got banned for spamming for a day in D3 when I hadn't played in 2 months. It's funny how I've gone through the Sony hacks and never got anything but Blizzard gets hacked and I'm getting banned.
How are normal people getting into beta? I thought it was only press, fansites, and shoutcasters?
I find that trying to prove someone wrong about the starcraft 2 engine is just more work than is needed. Some of the systems people want to make could be made in a real game engine, UDK/Unity, in less time it takes to make a starcraft 2 map.
I recommend adding some moves that have some awesome cinematics. If you look at say the unique moves that are usually tied to a legendary they are pretty cinematic for a Pokemon game. I want more of those.
