Just succeeded in making a fresh new publish and updating on Americas. From what I've tried, upload failure with mismatching names might not be related to region. For instance some members on the other thread reported success uploading to KT region, which I'm guessing are new uploads and/or has one locale, while I am getting mostly failures on that region, which are updates. Most of my maps are on KT. I'm suspecting that the enGB locale removal bugged the name check process on uploads.
I was able to update some maps in KT region. Major factor is that they were for internal tests, and has never been published with enGB locale specified on it. If this factor is causing the failures, any map having its enGB name still registered on bnet in would fail on upload. Initial publishes / maps with no enGB name registered on bnet will succeed uploading.
I was able to publish my map to NA successfully several times tonight, but with one problem: Almost nobody seems able to download the map.
The map isn't significantly larger than it was before I updated it, and before people could download it relatively fast. Now everyone seems stuck on downloading. I haven't been able to invite any of my friends to play it, they always get stuck, and I had the lobby open until it was top 5 on the open games list and not ONE soul joined the lobby, which is extremely rare for the open games list.
Yet, SOMEHOW, one person was able to join it eventually and leave a review. He said he was able to eventually download by re-logging and trying again. Nobody else was able to reproduce this.
Hey guys, haven't gotten to go through your responses yet but theSkunk I have questions for you from one of the devs. I'm just going to directly copy past them in here.
- did they encounter upload issues mentioned by other posters in this thread and has the issue resolved itself for them?
- were the successful uploads new maps/mods or updates to existing maps/mods and if they were ever published under enGB locale per the theory from the poster before them
- can they name the map they uploaded which others cannot download to play
1. Yes, I encountered the exact same upload issues mentioned by the other posters in this thread, not much more than 30-60 minutes before my "successful" upload. But ever since the "successful" upload I have not run into the original issue shared by other posters in the thread. (Though to be clear; the inability to download issue has not resolved itself)
2. The successful upload was an update to an already published mod, the same as was failing to upload at all before.
3. The name of the mod is Shamans of Conquest - Beta. I can't get the map URL link because Battle.net is down for maintenance right now.
Edit: Should also be noted that when publishing, it VERY quickly goes up to 93%, where it gets stuck for AGES "Transmitting Archive File" - but then eventually publishes "successfully"
Edit2:
It just failed twice at that point (93%) as people earlier in the thread were having issues with. On the third time, I edited the loading screen help text, and tried publishing again. It "worked" this time.
Edit3:
People still can't join normally. However, one person reported they managed to downloading by hosting their own lobby instead of joining last night, and then several other people got in the lobby. But now today, after my new version, they can no longer do so.
To everyone who is still having trouble uploading to NA, can you provide screenshots of the error you get. If you haven't cleared your upload history and have multiple errors to share, that would be great too.
My lord, this took forever. My first 3 tries were successes and it takes soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long when it succeeds. Which it in itself is odd, as before all these issues started it uploaded fast.
I still can't upload. I either get that hash mismatch error, or there was a temporary error, try again in a few minutes.
same here but on EU with Ling Slayer(s), if i just hadn't renamed it once. the name check doesnt work for different names in different locales. i think i gonna open a service ticket soon.
With the recent patch we just deployed, can everyone try again and let me know if you are still having issues, and if you are, please provide a screenshot of the error you are receiving.

I suggest you investigate this to replicate.

my map "Ling Slayers" on EU cannot be uploaded because the enGB name once was "Ling Slayer". it fails on 100% saying that the names must match.
i was able to upload it to US but ppl were having download problems too, needed 3 or 4 relogs until it worked.

I'll get this party started
I always get the error "There was a temporary error with your request. Please try again in a few minutes."
My lord, this took forever. My first 3 tries were successes and it takes soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long when it succeeds. Which it in itself is odd, as before all these issues started it uploaded fast.
Here's the error image: http://i.imgur.com/GUYlcGC.jpg
I'll try to get another few tomorrow but it took me long enough to get this one tonight I'm sick of trying for now.
Thanks guys. Keep them coming.
I also wanted to say we are testing a potential fix for this issue right now and we hope to verify it's effectiveness and deploy it as soon as we can.
Here is the screenshots of my two failed uploads. The interesting thing is that it errors out basically instantly.
Upload Failures
Here's mine. Tried just now.
It seems that after waiting overnight, people can join my game again. However, it always occasionally let some people in so its hard to tell.
The exact SAME person who was having trouble downloading it last night could now download it today.
Still an issue... any updates?

i am also experiencing this problem. hero survival J, NA
For about the last 7 -8 hours i've been unable to publish anything anywhere. Editor logon claims "invalid userid or password".
I describe if more fully here: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/19288660106

I just tried a couple times with no luck, same error as before.
