After last week's bug life theme, this week I figured it may be fun if we try the opposite approach: "Bird's Eye View". Rather than depicting a scene looking through a bugs' eyes, this week I want you to make terrains as shown through a bird's eye. This means high, wide-angle camera's looking down at a large landscape (in which details may or may not be less obvious).
Yeah... either life or some other epic terrains... I worked more than 6 hours on some terrains for The Antioch Chronicles. You know what I am able of when I take the time... and this is still true. I have a video showing a timelaps of me terraining during 5 hours; but I can't show it yet. It's very nice. To give you an idea and make your imagination come up, guess what is inside of a Nexus; I terrained that plus, it's a playable area, not just visual. ;)
Well, you provided a bird's eye view, so I'll let it slide. Things have been a bit quiet here lately, I'm guessing folks have been doing exams and such.
Thats very cool. I wonder what it would have looked like in the case that all the terrain as snow/ice with the crow beeing very distinct from all the rest. Like a palce where you would ask yourself how did the crow get there and how did he survived such cold.
Right now the green trees mixed with pile of ice is kinda weird. Note that the background fits very well with the overall terrain.
Hey Moz, is this going to be the 3rd week or a new one is coming today? Believe in the possibilities that the next one can get submission more than this one :P
Very well executed as I see mapsters struggle with snow and ice terrain you did a great job. Love that you put a skybox also that matches your environment really well.
Weekly Terraining Exercise #205
Hey folks!
After last week's bug life theme, this week I figured it may be fun if we try the opposite approach: "Bird's Eye View". Rather than depicting a scene looking through a bugs' eyes, this week I want you to make terrains as shown through a bird's eye. Hope to see some participation this week!

You jerk for a minute I thought that was some very impressive height tool painting in the editor xD
I know I'm a broken record by this point but real life continues to make it hard for me to find the time/energy to take part in these :(

Probably not what this was about, but it's a wide shot and well, there's no submissions so far.

Hey guys! Don't cry I'll be there next as I'll have internet!
