Believe me, we're both. The only thing I'm good at that thing, thus far, is copying models (Mostly buildings), making them into doodads and making them work the way I want through the Actor Events log.
/edit Speaking of which, did someone like my hotel update?
I actually don't clearly understand what would look an asset, I can't see what are the possibilities that I could do. Do I have to do a whole map, a custom unit like Nebuli, mix of doodads... what I have to do?
Like I said in the OP; literally anything terrain-related that other people could (easily) use in/for their map. This could be an entire (playable) lay-out/terrain for a full blown map, a couple of easy copyable doodads, copyable eyecandy, a new photoshopped kind of texture... Whatever - as long as it has terrain purposes.
I have a skeleton for a DotA map that I made (left to be textured and fiddled with by a team's terrainer).
I also have a number of doodads-like items that I put together These first two are just things that I made for fun:
These, however, I made with the sole intention of them being used for Third person maps.
The standard trees are really just not appealing to the eyes when you use them in a Third Person perspective, so I have this:
Aaand damnit. Imgur is being derpy and not uploading my images. I'll attach them.
These trees are made in such a way that once you place them, you can select a group of them and press "Ctrl+Shift+Z" to randomize variations until you are happy with what you see. An image of this is shown below.
Also attached is a fancy archway that could be easily used as a cave entrance, as well a sun and moon that have been merged with lights and environment effects to give them a very nice look for any third person map out there.
I decided to put together several mods that contain a bunch of models from World of Warcraft. These doodad models should be usable in maps to make Warcraft-styled maps. Each Mod contains a different amount of models and are based upon a theme. I currently have 14 separate mods. There are hundreds and hundreds of models. For a list and details of each mod, go here
Please note that if you want to use these, download them from Battle.net. I think all of them are currently up on the US side (Sorry EU, I have no idea which ones are up on there).
If you still want to use a mod but it's not uploaded to your server, you can upload it yourself. If you do, please consider being the host for that mod and I will send you the updated versions when they come out. Furthermore, you can also download these mods and extract certain models. The process is a little tricky, so if you need help with that, please let me know.
This is a city-based terrain template aka 'New Augustgrad' (WoL Korhal City; not HotS version) template.
You can use it as a melee map (although it's abit unbalanced due to its current design without balancing), LOAP, roleplay, missions, campaign or for a cinematic; you name it. There are certain areas of the map that appear to be "empty"; this is room that you can use to add whatever you want.
Basic info:
Map size - 256x256
Total no. of doodads - 3260
Includes civilians and a few neutral marines. Civilians are unselectable and untargetable. Marines are not. Can be removed if you find them intrusive.
Waypoints are placed at the most suitable road locations if you wish to include ambient traffic (hence the lack of cars on the road).
You can also set up a monorail system. There are three lines, although you can add more if you want as long as they connect to the central hub.
Has two custom imports; just two small edits to the monorail track and solar panels. Total amounts to less than 30kb when compressed.
Three player starting locations. Each player has 4 bases with standard resources. No gold expansions.
Fully path able, including air pathing.
Has a basic time cycle lighting that alternates between day and night.
Skybox might require abit of farclip camera adjustment to show up properly ingame.
No adjustments to unit data, apart from the changes to the civvies, some 2x2 unbuildable rocks and custom doodads.
EDIT: Forgot to add, if you don't like not being able to see behind buildings, simply search for Korhal Building and Tarsonis Building under the Models tab in the Data Editor and change the field Art - Occlusion to Hide.
If only Curse had spent their time giving us spoilers instead of reputation...
Also, it would probably be better with that post if you had all the images as attachments. It'd take up a lot less space.
I was going to, I really was, but you can only have 10 attachments, and I knew people wouldn't see them if I just linked to another website. If there is a way to conceal all them easier I'd do it in a heartbeat haha. Sorry!
I used my awesome mod powers to put the screenies in a spoiler. Took me 30 mins of work, but it was worth it. We do have spoilers, it's just that only the mods can use them since they require a post to be made-up in raw HTML. Only mods can do this because it would give too much power to regular users. Terminator, please don't fiddle with the post or it might screw up. Thanks :)

Do you mean that copying a doodad also copies its actor, or do you simply mean that a doodad is an actor?
If the former, I learned something. If the latter, that doesn't help me at all, since I already knew this and was avoiding making a new actor.

And now, here are many pictures showing off the assets: ... Also ground textures can be downloaded Link Removed: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?al2ikmytth2iwfk
Note: The terrains in these screenshots are made by a user known here as TheHolyArk.
Ok, give this guy a beta key so he doesn't come back. He doesn't need to do WTE.
When I look at these pictures I feel in WoW and not in Sc2 haha. Well made.

I already got a beta key! Bought preorder off amazon ;)

To improve your moon set the team colour to black and then use texture select by id to alter the emissive texture.
@Scbroodsc2: Go
That is because most of the pics content is wow assets. Still must have taken forever to extract all those.

Using data somewhat defeats the purpose of a terrain asset. No ridiculously simple copy/paste.
