If you discover any Bugs, Faults, Oversights in my map please use the ticket system in the link above. I know siege tanks are OP. but another map project is taking 100% of my time currently. I'll hit it with the nerf bat when i get time.

Yeah, tried it quite a few times now and towers don't really scale in damage well to the creeps HP. I can have four psi towers, 6 siege tanks, cannons, and hydras, creeps still get by because of the amount of HP they have and the lack of gold I have.
Selling definately needs to get in there, as mentioned in your plans.
Can't wait for effects, map looks good, but make it more interesting! The editor is so amazing!
Some thoughts,
I never find use for the regular cannons past level two. Nor find a use for the splash cannons.
I don't like the slow tower and really don't see it have any effect (barely noticable). I'd honestly have it do 50% slow because it attacks each unit it hits twice then moves on, thus missing half/1/3 of the creep wave. And the cost is definately not worth 25%, especially if you can't upgrade it.
Don't know if it is possible, but can you even get the rocket tower? lol.
I'd have to disagree with the below poster about Hydras. A regular hydra can down a wave at level 3 or 4 easy. Get two of them and they can take on the next 3 waves or so with the help of your beginning cannons. Upgrade one and you're good for a few more waves. After that, they become pretty useless depending on your other towers.

Please make the towers that are units described as structured. When you select with a right click drag it picks them and your scv up.
so i managed to publish it but took it down. for some reason wave 1 spawns endlessly when played with 4 players.
sigh i am having extreme problems publishing this map
someone has done it for me which i dont really mind but now "Standard Tower Defense" is Unavailable. heh. so published as "A Standard Tower Defense"
HOWEVER i cannot download any maps or anything from battle.net and simply get a download failed error and get stuck in an infinite loop where im "joining a lobby"

but anyway. with the latest patch my motivation is shot to hell. battle.net 2.0 is the most featureless thing i've used.
in the mean time you can simply "subscribe" to file updates. so that when i upload a new version you'll receive an e-mail
Hey, me again. I don't want to criticize you, but no updates... And I also do not want you to work on this project 24/7, but i thought - If you are not working on this project anymore - please update the page. I come to see if a new version came out, because this TD is effin awesome :)

Hi there, thx for a nice map, this map is kinda hard, and also 1 bug for this new version, i tried to build splash tower, but in the end, after i click the splash tower button, what shows on the screen when i was placing the tower, shows up to be lightning tower, please correct the error. TQ!

Nice map indeed, good waves variation, need a little more balancing to make all towers interesting, keep up the good work ! I just luv' TD !
Lasted till reapers; few of them managed to sneak by my towers and I lost the game. Very hard TD, maybe even impossible to win but I'm not sure about that and I'll keep trying.
So far most effective are lightning towers as their chain reaction wipes out everything very easily if you spam them well. Their usefulness ends mutalisks when even they start to not be enough. The Splash Cannon is pretty useless atm, it can barely catch two enemies at once and the damage is imo not worth the money. The Psi Storm towers are pretty strong as well but still weaker then lightning towers. Siege tanks are good, but nothing spectacular, not worth the money of two lightning towers imo.
Slow tower is... Well it could be good (slow is awesome in TD maps) but 2dmg per rocket?... No thanks. Especially because you have to micro those turrets very hard in order to slow down more then just one unit. Maybe they would be more useful if they had AoE slow. But this is just a theory. Basic turret is only useful for the first 4 waves at best and upgrading it is a waste of money, though I still have to try spamming them with max upgrades so don't quote me on that.
And the Hydra tower.... I only have one question: is it supposed NOT to rotate? Because in my game it does not, it only fires in one direction till the end of the game... o_o
But even with the problems this maps has, I really, REALLY enjoy playing it, awesome TD! :-)

BTW: Does anybody know a way to get rid of this annoying param/value error (from what I've heard it happenes when you play a map made with different client, for example playing a map made with US client on GB client results in this error)? Just asking as so far I did not find a way to fix this error.
Lost at wave 17 in my first try. Photon cannons past the first few levels are useless Hydras early are useless too (we'll see about later levels) Lightning towers are very good early Siege tanks are somewhere in-between I'd say Slow tower seems pretty effective
killing the units too quickly as they spawn is fixed in the latest version.
I cheated to get to wave 28. Then wave 28 took out most of my towers since they still had the ability to attack lol. I just gave myself a ton of starting resources.
There's is another issue where if you kill the units that spawn too quickly near the entrance the counter for the next wave counts up instead of down. Like theres a specified duration that a wave should last and if it lasts less than that duration the timer breaks. So I had to build lower int he maze and avoid the entrance till the later waves.
nah not dead. just been working.
i dont think it's going to be possible to finish it until i add towers with greater damage for the later waves
i'll look into the chain lightning thing. personally i think i did it a stupid way and i havn't been happy with how it works for awhile now. this forces me to redo it atleast. haha.
My friends and I have tried this many times and cannot win!! Good map, but we noticed a few things. The lightning towers do not appear to chain in the current version. I have looked at the pictures / videos, and my friends and I do not see any lightning chain onto the next units or any damage getting done to them.
Also, the scv can go down and around to the next persons area at the bottom of the map for at least the rightmost area.
Great map and looking forward to seeing more!

Ok, so I played this map. Nice job.
A couple of bugs/glitches i encountered:
1. My SCV somehow got killed. Dunno how. I think it might have been the storm tower. So making it invulnerable would avoid it getting killed.
2. At the immortal level, 5 immortals just teleported to the end of the map and i lost 5 lives. I think it got stuck and had nowhere to go, so it somehow got ported to the exit. I had i think 2 storm towers, two marauders and some other stuff. Like 5 immortals continued walking, 5 immortals stole my lifes and the others just started walking back, they hit the wall and continued to the exit.
Hope this helps improve this map ;)

slow towers of the same type wont stack
both towers with a slow are 25% each. 1 of each will be a 50% slow. but thats the max at this point.
as for the price i tried to work up a spreadsheet and work out the price of towers that way. it was pretty dodgy and probably not the best way of doing it but yea.
Prices seem to be a bit steep for some of the higher towers, marauder towers don't seem to really slow or at least the amount is negligible that you don't see a big difference even with multiple up. I got up to level 16 with flawless kills, level 17 & 18 just ramps up I don't think I can figure a way past it.
I think the difficulty is decent, I haven't beat the whole thing yet, not even with MrBoskee's setup. More info on the upgrades would be nice.
I played your map... i got to level 18 before dying...
Its a good start for the map, I would suggest making the buttons more informative of what you are getting before you spend the money. It doesn't really seem like its worth upgrading your photon cannons since they cost 3x but only do 2x damage. The hydra tower is essential, the lightning tower didnt do much. The storm tower attack doesnt have any UI information. The maurader doesn't seem powerful enough.
All in all it looks like it will be fun when it is finished.
