well SC2BW is already a mod so i didn't have to do any of that.
i do know that to copy and paste triggers from one map to another map/mod they both need to be open in the editor and you need to switch between them using the window menu.
you should be able to copy and paste them then
you can easily make your "arcade map" into an extension mod and let people make maps for it. obviously the more your mod relies on features of the map the harder it will be (if you use lots of points and regions for example, you will probably need to write a guide for users creating maps as to what is required for the rest of the mod/extension to function correclty).
extension system is the best feature they've done in a very long time.
tested PTR just now and i can't really find anything in it's implementation that i don't like or is missing. so pretty cool stuff.
kinda disappointing?
I'm hoping there's more to announce on the side and they just aren't announcing it because your regular Blizzcon attendee wouldn't care about advanced map features.
It looks to me like that Name is taken in the Other Region's maybe Rename Maverck's SC2BW_-_Data. If I'm wrong someone else will have to help because That's the only reason I could think of.
i can manually publish to each realm just fine.
it's only multi region that fails.
Same problem, no solution. :( The problem seems to be that it's not trying to get the mod files from the other regions or it just doesn't try hard enough (-> too low timeout).
The normal publish window sometimes has the problem of not being able to find a dependencies header file, too. Then you need to look at your published files and it works...
so i was able to publish the base mods fine, but anything that has another mod as a dependency fails to publish to multiple regions and will fail every time except for the region i am currently logged into.
so multiregion publishing is interesting... good and bad.
hard to test it right now given not all servers are updated.
unfortunately you have to publish to each server individually still (takes awhile on my internet). but thats expected.
but it seems like you only get to provide one login? i have a login for the china realm which i use but i dont think i'll be able to publish through it so easily.
im not sure how it'll work with filenames/versions/etc. i guess im gonna have to wipe everything off every realm and start again to make it all sync'd up?
finally...
multi region publishing.
ALSO
Added an “Always Use Latest Version” option for Battle.net dependencies published by the active user. This is only available when using the “My Documents” source.
i've been asking for this since beta.
HUGE IMPROVEMENT.
i might actually start working on the editor again. these two things were gigantic hindrances in my motivation to do anything.
like, fuck me, i can't express how big those two changes are for me.
still no limited unit selection :( maybe in a year or two.
AH ruined the game for me, not even RMAH, i never used it.
i was having alot of fun, finding constant upgrades. interesting items i could use.
eventually i decided to look at the AH. against my original intentions when going into the game.
i found gear on there that was amazing. perfect gear. hundreds of identical items with perfect stat rolls. for EXTREMELY CHEAP.
i bought them all. decked my character and became extremely fucking bored with the game. i didn't see a gear upgrade for a very very very long period of time. completely ruined the game for me, it should have never been added.
maybe it would of worked if the amount of perfect roll items on the auction house was alot lower but the only way to solve that is to make it almost impossible for a good roll item to drop. which is another problem in itself.
eh?
fenix was a major support character
he comes up multiple times in the sc1 campaigns as an ally to raynor, he dies as a zealot and returns as a dragoon. he was awesome, him and raynor fought alot of battles together. raynor should of had the love story with fenix, i would have believed that more.

triggers inside a mod will work as an extension. also game attributes (for lobby options) also work correctly.
the only thing i haven't tested is banks persisting over multiple maps as I've had problems with that before

i can't wait to play Twilight of the Gods again.

i think im going to avoid any/all news about the next expansion and just pray it comes out good...

never include multi dependencies unless you are making a pure melee map.
