Team Antioch is proud to announce that we have begun work on The Antioch Chronicles: Episode 3. It took us some time to decide to take the dive into completing this famous piece of work, but we have already made great strides into completing it, with a complete script, several functional maps, and a nearly complete mod for it.
We have taken elements of the script released by Auspex Studios after the cancellation of the project, but as we don’t intend to continue past Episode 3 with their story we decided to make some changes. Our script was primarily written by our Project Lead, Adrian Bettridge-Wiese (Lucid Iguana), with contributions from Skyler Redmon (3yks), Abraham Yunes-Gonzalez (Alevice), and Chris Colton (DTZ). Those who have read the original script will find that we ventured in a different direction, but we feel that it stays true to the themes of the first two and gives a completed story instead of leaving several open plot holes that were intended to be resolved in future chapters of the story.
In order to produce a campaign worthy of being called the Antioch Chronicles, we'll need a fairly large amount of voice work. Visit our voice acting page for information about joining the cast! We've got big parts, medium parts, and bit parts, and need a great variety of help!
Help Wanted
We hope to bring forth an episode worthy of the Antioch name, and as such are seeking to fill a few positions on our team.
Artist/Modeler
This position would include minor modifications to existing models (removing weapons, changing textures, etc) We would also be happy to include some custom models if you are so inclined, but for the most part this position would involve modifications more than creation.
Data/Trigger/General Galaxy Editor
This is a pretty general role, we’re looking primarily somebody to help with triggering our maps, this would involve creating unique and interesting game play mechanics and the creation of in-game cinematics for voice over work. If you have experience with ability creation or other editor functions that is a plus but not necessary.
All positions should be team players and willing to put time into the project. We understand that people have lives and we aren’t in a rush to get things out the door, we want a quality product. All we ask is that any time you say you will commit to us, you follow through on. At this time we don’t use deadlines, though when closer to release we might need to in order to make certain goals. We’re a pretty laid back group overall, familiarity with SVN is a plus for all positions but is not necessary. Willingness to use SVN and our particular communication channels are a must. This is a fan project by Team Antioch. We are not affiliated with Ruben "Auspex Turmalis" Moreno or any other member of Team Antioch. We thank them for creating a world so engrossing that it still brings people together fifteen years later.
Well, here's a massive announcement! We're incredibly proud and honored to say that both Ruben "Auspex Turmalis" Moreno and Eric "Zeus Legion" Dieter have joined the project! We've also been joined by Juan Mantilla, the original voice actor for Mason Rockwell. It's an exciting time on Team Antioch!
As some of you know, this project has been cancelled....
PSYCHE!
I'm, just kidding. Team Antioch has been quite really busy, and while we usually try to keep everything a mystery so fans can get to enjoy the experience at its fullest, we have opted to start a small column called Chaotic Thoughts, documenting some of the incredible things done by the team.
Without further ado, lemme introduce you to Chaotic Thoughts, Issue No. 1, Vol. 1, 1st Ed, original print. We plan to eventually go further into some of the fun struggles we have faced, a more elaborated description of our actual pipeline that has allowed us to get things done faster than they already would, along other things.
We hope you get to enjoy these columns and eventually, Episode 3.
What I enjoy most about your development process is that it is fairly open in that you've shared a lot of what goes into making these. For Ep I and II the ticketing system made it clear what issues existed and now with Ep III the actual process is being shared, which is a great tool for learning. You should bundle it all up near the end and make a big mapmaking process tip thread

I'm planning on a doing at least a couple director's commentaries on maps. I'll talk through SVN backups to show how they came along, talk about the script process, etc. Should be a fun project once this thing is all done. I'm under no illusions of being a great mapper, but I've done so fucking many of them now (33ish campaign maps...) that I can hopefully offer at least some voice of experience.
Part of the plan with chaotic thoughts is just that haha. There are no real secrets here to hide from others, we just havent given enough time to expand on them further.
Another thing I've considered doing is a breakdown/commentary of the Thoughts in Chaos script. I'd put in annotations about structure, other things we considered, etc. That would be pretty fun, but I'm not sure how much interest there would be for that sort of content. The script itself is 13k words, and I have no idea how commentary we would add. I guess it could be released in installments?
