Remove the end boss who cannot be killed by any means, at all. Controlling the armies of 3 players with maxed out upgrades, I could not scratch that thing. But, that is what 15,000 armor and 100,000 life would do in a game where 1500 is the max damage from a unit that isnt a hero; and a hero is still below 15,000.
Cannot be killed by any means? 100 ghosts with max armor (rebuilding around 5-10 per volley), 4000 snipes and a few hours later, I heartily disagree with you! And that's before I realized that corruption actually makes snipe deal 30 instead of 25..
But yes, I guess it is impossible for any sane person who did not want to waste that much time.
Hes not saying that its not terrible, Hes simply Saying that it was only made for TDs, Tug of Wars, and RPGs games where gametimes are from 1-3 hours per game.
You guys can blame this current popularity system on me. In 2010 I spoke with a few of the Battle.net devs at the blizzcon charity event and I convinced them to change it to this. Although I still think it's better than the previous version where it was based on how many times a game was played. All in all though the system itself is just terrible. It needs a complete overhaul. A map like this in it's current state (sorry Brave) isn't even deserving of page 3. There is very little to do and makes me feel like I've gone back in time to play Starcraft Broodwar. I honestly don't think Blizzard spends much time thinking about battle.net. If they do it isn't spent on custom maps.
It doesn't reset the hours, it's based on a 24 hour cycle. That's why you'll see it fluctuate throughout the day. I wouldn't mind the popularity system if they would just add in the old battle.net system along with it and somehow incorporate it to also apply it's time played to the popularity system. That way you could play what's popular or see what people are hosting and still have an effect on it's popularity.

Hey I just tried your game, and although I absolutely hated it (4 ppl going afk for 30 mins, just patrolling their unit near a spawn camp to farm gold...), well I gotta say good job on the environnements and custom units, those were pretty cool and it's probably the reason I kept playing for nearly an hour :D
Well that is half the trick you see, afking for gold in easy areas, then when you got enough gold you can buy a worker for 35k, and build missile turrets to farm for you. For some reason, Missile Turrets armor maxes out at 300 +, superior to any unit you could possibly buy, making them the perfect choice for killing the 100k hp 15000 armor 300 damage boss. Anyways, it is good if you like seeing units die, A LOT, but unfortunately being an open RPG means the map is defined by farming. Great if you like farming, not so much if you are against having a lot of hoes? Snoop Dog kind of game!
The end boss isn't completely impossible, I killed him the other day with 2 other people. Took a long time and some fansy strats, but we killed him. Nothing for it though, even his EXP sucks
So, I just went in for a boss attempt. My hero is Elven, and so are all my units, save for my medics apparently...
As such, they had 0 armor and died instantly.
You don't need medics. I beat the boss with 10 maxed out void rays And a level 20 hero. Just mass guardians or voidrays and you can destroy the boss fast. I don't know what the humans have that works yet. I have yet to play a human hero yet. Probably battlecruiser, I would imagine. I would think ghosts would work really well with snipe, but apparently that's not the case?

You don't think there's any merit to what he said? A lot of games are good but you can only play them for 10-15 minutes and the hours never stack up.

hah i know my map fails on that aspect, not that i have had any real negative feedback(aside from trolls never trying it.)
But an average game of Mini Chop Farms is about 15-20 minutes, But all feedback I have gotten from players other then one troll, was Positive.
Of course I never made it for popularity.
