I recently got back from holiday and have been browsing through all your latest WTE creations. I have to say some of that is still looking quite flashy. I realize the last WTE (#90) might not have been that sparkling because my instructions were a tad vague, but I've got a nice and easy one to make up for it this week!
It's time for another 'Do that doodad!'. For those who missed the first and second ones (WTE #67 and #77), the concept of 'Do that Doodad' is that I pick one doodad, along with a minimum size, and you are required to build any kind of terrain you like as long as it includes the doodad in question. This time, the doodad of choice is "Colonist Ship (Abandoned)" while the size is "At least 300". This means that you need to use the doodad 'Colonist Ship (Abandoned)' in your map with a size of at least 300 - aside from that you're free to terrain as you like.
Good luck, curious how people will make their ships look!
It was a junkyard that was for some unforseeable reason being scavenged by a Dominion group. All of a sudden, the Zerg attacked (for some unforseeable reason). Blah blah blah... the colony ship is 300, yes, but everything else is at least 300 too so it could conform to the original conception.
Hello, I would like to participate too! :D I'm not sure if my ship counts, if not, please tell me. So I can build another. :3 All other entries are awesome. I don't think mine stand a chance. Wait... Its not a competition, right?...Right?
Thanks! I'm glad its not a competition :D . The ring is just some rails making a circle... I'm not good at explaining things... The picture does it better. :)
Its below all those doodads. That's why I said it might not be what Mozared asked for, I'm sorry if its not what the exercise was about :(. You can barely see it. :\
This is my favorite WDE ever. Some beast-ass starships here...these would be actually feasible units if you spent an hour or two adding them as attachments to the original Hercules unit.... hmmmm...
1.5.0 Ruined my editor and I cant finish :( FML

You should put the HDR higher (Double-click, select white custom colour if you want a neutral colour and then you'll able to change it) on the actual ship, right now it's almost pitch black it seems. Other than that i don't really apperciate your ship but i'm a pretty minimalistic person when it comes to terraining and your ship is far from it.
Okay. I've Increased the HDR of it (I'm not sure if I get what you meant). But I have to agreed with you, my terrains are aways full of doodads, and I'm sorry if you didn't like the ship. :( Next time I'll try harder to create a something that's not so much filled with doodads.
Do what feels best or most natural for you, don't want to force something on you ;) About the HDR, don't know technically what it does but the visual effect is that it makes things brighter and more glowy the higher it is and vice versa. I recomend having it up to 3 if you want something brighter or cleaner and down to 0.5 to darken it. Will attach screenies to demostrate the power of HDR.
Pretty sick there - looks like a 'good' and 'evil' version of the same spaceship. Overall I'm liking a lot of this - not at all what I was expecting, I was thinkin more about different kind of ship-ruins.

Haaaaaaaaawdy how!

Old 'piratey' ship i had laying around:
Here's one I sunk about 45 minutes into - enjoy.
Here's the backstory:
It was a junkyard that was for some unforseeable reason being scavenged by a Dominion group. All of a sudden, the Zerg attacked (for some unforseeable reason). Blah blah blah... the colony ship is 300, yes, but everything else is at least 300 too so it could conform to the original conception.
A bit spiffin' up, had some fun creating the interior.

I like this theme, very nice entries already! I'm a bit busy this week (Olympics!) but hopefully I'll get a chance to work on my idea =)

@PhoenixBird02:
First of all, no, it's not a competition.
Second, wow, great job!
Third: What is that ring doodad sitting on top of the top Bio-Dome? It looks AWESOME!
Thanks! I'm glad its not a competition :D . The ring is just some rails making a circle... I'm not good at explaining things... The picture does it better. :)

Nice job buddy, good effort. Maybe just me, but where is the doodad for the Colonist Ship set to 300 scale? :/
Its below all those doodads. That's why I said it might not be what Mozared asked for, I'm sorry if its not what the exercise was about :(. You can barely see it. :\

Ahaha! Kudos! Good job, was just me then. And don't worry - you hit the nail on the head with it - probably best here so far imo.
Thanks a lot! I loved your ship's Bio-Dome turrets! I was like ...Must..Not...Copy... xD Hopefully we will see more ships around here. :)
This is my favorite WDE ever. Some beast-ass starships here...these would be actually feasible units if you spent an hour or two adding them as attachments to the original Hercules unit.... hmmmm...
