Lately I've been playing some Payday 2, and it has inspired me to come up with the theme of "The Vault". For this week's WTE, I want you guys to terrain some sort of high-end highly-classified secured vault or facility where a certain rare or dangerous object would be stored, safe from prying eyes and grasping hands. Fairly straightforward, no?
How about a vault of the elements? I was determined to keep to the theme yet make something completely unexpected :D
btw the reason why zeratul is there is mainly because if he was not there, the eye would have no place to rest, thus making it a hard image to look at despite how "cool" it was, so he is there to give the eye something to rest upon and add a live alien presence to the scene. Also looking closely at some details, I was a little sloppy in some areas but I executed the overall idea well.
That's indeed not what I was thinking of at all, but I love that. I've always really liked the portal/window scenes with completely different types of landscapes, but they are quite rare to see. I'd love to see a playable one, but that would be challenging. Amazing job either way!
Woah that is amazing, and nice composition too with Zeratul and all.
Would make for a really neat 'hub' type screen for some kind of game where you could click on the different windows to go to a map of each of those worlds or something :)
I love the effects that you have used in the room itself. And you really get a sense that the place is massive. I myself thought of Delta's terrain when I saw this.
Wow I gotta say this week you guys made some awesome stuff. Joecabs was "simple" but just perfect. And scrinkings was exactly what've I'd expect from the xel naga.
I do wish someone made a bank vault though. I tried when I was making a bank robbing game and it always turned out quite terribly I was interested in seeing Wyatt really good terrainers could do.
Well if Mozared doesn't post the next one by Monday, we certainly should post it, at this point, it looks like another 2 week wte, I wonder what wte we would be on if we didn't have the 2 week or "extended" ones we have had.
Had every WTE taken one week (with the exception of the contest), we would be on WTE #211 by now. That's about an 84% rate of getting the next one out on time.
Been literally swamped with stuff like never before. Missed the deadline completely by three days and at that point decided 'fuck it'. I'll keep up again come next week.
Well, sure, though I will ask you guys to wait at least a day or such before doing so. Though I miss the ocassional WTE, I do get them most of the time and it'll mess up the timeline if we get two up at the same time. Either way, I've put 179 up just now.
