Correct on the cinematic. It actually took place in a city, but StarCraft II developers said that they couldn't show that in SC1 with the limited tilesets they had at their disposal. Making a single tileset just for one mission was probably a bit too much work for them. The dialogue in the first game seems to indicate that the events took place on a planetary surface, not a space platform, but the latter is still plausible, as the dialogue remained vague enough to allow it. (Obviously on purpose) Not to mention it would be difficult to make a city tileset that's more of a cityscape than the badlands tileset. Too much work to create large doodads for structures, which are non-existant in other tilesets. Actual structures would seem strange in SC1, as neutral buildings are very rare. (with the exception of some damaged small structures and special structures like the Xel'Naga temple)
Thanks guys! Alex you are spot on with the uziel but the other one is actually modeled after the vulture from mechwarrior. Might be the angle but it looks pretty close from above. Look out for new Kerrigan portrait this weekend and maybe some more here if I get done with my other stuff :)
Those are sick will be great to have some colonies. I'm sure you hate hearing this but are these planned for your campagin or will they be released prior?
But yes all of these will be found in my campaign but will be released as soon as they are finished. I wouldn't hold the colonies from you guys that'd be messed up.
What color should the sunken colony tongue thingy be?
Right now it is grey/black because I want it to fit with SC2 buildings and the official sunken colony attack the tongue is black. But would purple/pink make since since the spine crawler's is that color?
Ok I'll try doing a redish purple color similar to spine crawler tentacle.
Yes they should hopefully all be out by :)
Arclite I'm still working on (as in I haven't gotten around to yet) but yes there will be a way more accurate representation of the original......eventually
As for the Dragoon, Mechs etc I'm not sure if/when I'll release those but they aren't tip top shape yet.

Oooh nice, an actual Dropship very nice! And would I be correct in thinking the one below that is the Grizzly Assault Dropship from StarCraft: Ghost?

Whatever it is it looks bad ass can think of several good uses for it.

Thanks man, what do you mean old models by the way?
@Kanitala: Go
You sure are! Still far from looking accurate so a lot of this will take a while before release as I'm still busy as ever with work and SC:U

I don't mind the question :)

Should be purple-reddish.
yea purple-reddish I think is good. For old models I refera the your version of the Dragoon or the new version of Arclite
@GhostNova91: Go
Yes I think purple-reddish is the right color. Any chance some of the models will be ready before Christmas ;) ?
I think the old models, was very near to the pubblication (The 2 robots, the new Arclite, the new Dragoon), I THINK, but not sure XD
There's a new Arclite tank? Hope it has the old transform.
Ok I'll try doing a redish purple color similar to spine crawler tentacle.
