in the cutscene editor, you can use animation layers to play split body animations together as one animation. is there a way to actually do that in game with the data editor so those split body animations actually play as one animation in-game? An example would be. in the Sc2 art tools tutorials, it explains how you can use slit body animations to make the marauder use its walk animation and have its attack animations play at the same time. but it only shows how to do that in the cutscene editor with animation layers, split body animations and track sets. how would you actually set that up so you get the same effect on the unit in game?
Just an update so people still know I'm still converting over Dawn Of War units. Working on Reconverting over the Tyranid race.. the plan is to work on the race as a whole so I can release all units and building at the same time. progress will be a little slow for the next little while as I am working 12 hour shifts right now. as always ill try and release multiple versions of each unit upon release.
ok, so thought i would test the waters before i start looking for recruits. the idea is bringing over full playable 40k factions to sc2, as in tech trees, unit producing building, units and custom skills/ability's. i would be able to supply/do all the unit/building models and animations. sound files and icons work myself. ( Think zerg vs tyranid, eldar vs protoss, chaos marines vs terran )
the part i would be need a partner or partners in would be the editor side work. ie, building custom units/ability's, tech trees, ui and everything else that go's into making a custom playable faction. if this sounds interesting to anyone please let me know, hell maybe even a custom crossover campaign could be started out of this. - here's a few examples of units
Ok I'll start work on updating the farseer for you. It shouldn't take long, I just need to switch some animation names so they work properly. And add a attachment point to work with one of her spells.

also, do you use 3ds max at all? I would have no problem releasing the 3ds max files to you, so you can do or add whatever you want to the units.
