Now that the whole infested Stukov business is a firm part of SC canon, I thought it would be worth it to do a remake for StarCraft 2 using the SCBW mod.
As some of you may know, the gameplay for the original was pretty boring. I'm wondering if I should do a straight port or add some new abilities and/or boss fights. Might be a while before this gets released, but I'll keep chipping away at it. Might even add custom voice acting if any skilled VAs volunteer.
Nice idea Gradius,for now our sc1 remake ita have mercenaries 2 and deception maps,but without any sort of triggers,if you will need it we will be happy to give you our maps :D
Thanks, I think we can use another model of Psi Disruptor, in SC1 is impossibile to use new models, so they use the Disrupter, but the Disrupter IS the Distupter.
Rifle? He's able to attack for about 30 seconds in all of StarCraft. It's honestly not worth the time to add a rifle and animations for that. Plus it wouldn't make sense for him to have a rifle if he's a Zerg at first.
Well he was a Ghost and I will use this model for the other missions, and I think to add near of the Cocoon of Stukov a corpse of a Ghost with rifle and when he will be disinfested I remove the doodad of rifle with triggers and wuolah, Stukov get the rifle from the dead Ghost near of him
I think the only reason he used a Ghost sprite in SC1 was it was the only armed, military looking normal human not wearing power armour sprite and as GN said he appeared in game for all of 30 seconds (in the BW campaign) before being killed. There's 0 lore that I recall to suggest he was a Ghost of any sort. If he were to have any weapon I'd suggest maybe a Pistol of some kind? And even that would need new animations.
Concerning the model, that looks really really cool Ghost! I knew you'd do a good job :)
One suggestion though: Is there any way to make his glow team coloured? If not maybe make it White or Brown (I remember those being the two colours mainly used by the UED forces)?
Stukov was a ghost and was psychic (otherwise why Kaloth resurrected him?) but this doesn't mean he should wear a ghost suit. IMO that Stukov model is perfet and portrait is the best custom portrait at SC2Mapster.com
Yhea I think to Stukov have psionic power, in SC1 exist the model of Civilian, the Blizzard can use them if Stukov don't is a Ghost, but they decided to use Ghost. And in Resurection IV in the end Stukov became a Hero with ATTACK, anche Ghost ability.
So with the deinfestation he gained a new ghost suit and he lost the military suit and later moebius give that military suit for experiments???You mad bro?
Exactly. If he were a ghost than Raszagal should be be a corsair and Kerrigan should have a whip as per their units in the editor :)
Thanks, the color can be changed but it's not a part of the model it's an addon so it can be removed easily in the editor. I'm not sure it will be used since the other heroes won't have it.
Thank you. I agree it's obvious that he has psionic potential seeing as he is reffered to as being almost as complex as Kerrigan as far as his infestation. But he's an Admiral. He did not attack Duran he just sat there. They used Duran as a ghost as well I'm sure they just figured OK let's use a ghost for this guy too. They didn't even give him a voice they obviously didn't intend to confirm that the Admiral carries a ghost rifle with him at all times. This is all a moot point as it would require a ton of work to add a rifle for 30 seconds of gameplay.
Anyways I'm fixing a texture with his sweater and then I'll upload it to the assets.
Stukov is dead with military suit, then the Kaloth's Zerg found the corpse of Stukov WITH the military suit and he was infested. Later Raynor disinfest him and I think the Zerg don't change clothes, so he have militaqry suit, then Stukov was carried in the Moebius and they start to do experiments with him. So he NEVER used the Ghost suit.
GN, I prefer to use the model with rifle beceuse in Resurection IV he was a hero with attack and Ghost ability and in the end of mission Stukov have a role how hero, but made him a Civilian hero is useless :S

Correction, we have Mercenaries II and Resurection IV maps, without any type of triggers.
Yeah, we don't have Deception map yet

My terrain is a little different, I'm using Kal'Dir as the base. I like what you guys did with the infested area though.

GN is absolutly perfect :D for the unit model we only need of a rifle, but for the rest is perfect ;)
