I have to upload it to mapster? Cant i just publish it on bnet?
I think the reason they require you to upload it to mapsters is so
people can download and learn from what you did. They have been doing
that with every contest.
Oh...i dont think thats a good idea because all thats going to happen is people are going to steal the maps and upload them as their own.
Yeah people need to be able to look at your map, its the point of the contests, to let others learn from these entries. I can understand though about people taking the map and uploading it.. but I really dont see that being to much of a problem, if you already have it uploaded I doubt another will get over it.
Ha, If I remember. We gotta play your map something tho, atm I can't download the patch for some reason... waiting for a response from blizzard. Mostly just want to see how your map is with the lag. If it's minimum then I could make some great stuff. =D We should try out my top down shooter too when I get my game back up. I'll try to get some more units up and ready for it.
Meh, would like to enter this since I like making ai, but I can't see it happening since I would need to make spells for the heroes too. =(
Haha,.. I'm working on a boss right now, but I have nothing for the heros, so I've just given each player mass resources until I finish the boss. I think someone should make some basic heros that we can easily import in for our boss fights ;)
I wanna see some great submissions here now! On the up side, I suppose the longer it takes the more effort people are putting into it.
Not only are we trying to make it good, for me making 10 different heroes with 2-3 abilities takes a while and since im planning on making a release version of this, it is taking a bit longer.
This looks really nice. I think you should add more realistic effects maybe tho. Like the sand as it gets further away it would could a bit shorter as well. Either way you beat bounties. =D

If I had to the time to do anythings besides college I would've liked to make a Monster Hunter style boss. Hum. Curse college for stealing all of my time.
Do you mean a really huge boss? Monster Hunter bosses are usually really huge and have some motion to signify their next attack. I don't think you could signify the next attack or make multiple melee attacks. If you did that would have been amazing. If you have free time and make this kind of boss I would love to see it.
Well generally you signify a next attack with a slow-mo animation or some sort of particle emission. I suppose I would have to be creative! (I'm imagining a Roachalos, or maybe a Roachian, flying around doing spinning attacks and throwing fireballs lmao)

You dont have to make a complete map for people to play (meaning items, areas, stuff) Just make boss and units and you are done!
I'm against people being allowed to enter premade maps into these contests.
I feel it's against the spirit of the contest.
If it's allowed then fine, it's not my decision to make. I'd appreciate some decision made over this though, please.

Btw: I mainly used the data-editor, the only triggers I used are for win / lose / boss-life-bar / mission objective & player start-units^^
