Even though I've never gotten to play this map yet, just from looking at the screenshots, I think you could enter this contest. All of your elements seem well polished, and you seem to be almost done except for some statistical and balance work. Maybe you should consider it. Just bringing this up, in case it actually interests you.

Lots of and lots of bugfixes..again. The map now is configured to support up to 4 players, which is probably where we'll leave it for the time being. I put in a few more side quests as well- At the moment, we've got a total of 13 quests/side-quests, which is enough to get some alpha testing done. It's going to be a little grindy when we first let you guys play it, because we don't have enough content to smooth out the progression. We may put in some cheat codes so you'll be able to level up your starmon instantly. This next week I'm going to be away for at least a few days, but we're pretty close to something you guys can play. :D

We're definitely considering it. The game engine is pretty much done, but there's not a lot of game yet. So we'd need to get enough quests in to make it actually enjoyable to play for the average battle.net user. But yeah, we're absolutely looking at it.

We did a few multiplayer tests recently, and things are mostly working....minus a few very frustrating game-breaking bugs. There's some problems with move menus disappearing and players getting stuck in battles that need to be resolved first, but once they're fixed we should be good-to-go for the alpha. We're going to try and resolve them as soon as possible! :)

Arena literally means sand in romance languages (including Latin, the language of the inventors of the arena). Sand in French is Sable. Also, it's a cute little Marten species in Asia. Fort is because I feel like thematically, with the place being completely sovereign and being a place of battle, fort seems to be a fine title.
Let's hope those bugs get in their place (squished, and out of the code) to make room for alpha!
I have no idea how close you are to releasing something, but in case you are close, this might be useful to join in on. Whenever you are ready to release this, I'm really looking forward to playing it. Good luck.
Just thought I'd say I've been waiting on this map for a long time! And that your map looked so good it was the original reason I stopped working on my similar map, but recently I got back to making my map it's still far from finished, but is available to play on battle.net it's a pokemon based RPG like your own. So you might find some inspirations from my map to help you in your own or if anyone wants to check it out while waiting for this :P.
There are only like 15 days left of Blizzard's contest. From the little amount of information that has been posted here lately, it looks like you are not going to meet that deadline. Though, it is never good to rush things. I still look forward to trying this whenever it is finally released.
I was thinking the same thing about a week ago. There it would be a shame if this large project went off into the wind without ever seeing the light of day.
Terrain wise we're practically ready for alpha, have been for a while (even though there's plenty I can work on). Data and trigger-wise, I have no idea where we're at. Maity is my link to Zelda (PUNS OF DAMAGE) as I don't usually talk to him directly, but neither of them seem to have bothered with the editor much lately. Shamefully. I would've loved to at least push out the alpha so people could at least play with stuff.
Drats... That's what I had feared. I'd like to see an alpha too that way all their work wouldn't be for naught. Mayhaps they'll reboot it at some point in the "near" future.

I need a Doctor to bring this Project back to LIFE!, seriously I hope this map comes out I would love to play it.
