Currently a engine bug prevent me to do it efficiently, if I want to do it anyway, it would needs a lots of work around that would drag the fps down. But in the end, the War3 players seems strongly requested it, so I decided to do it
Melee AI
Orc AI would be the first after I cleared some more bugs.
New Sample Map
The next map would be (4)TurtleRock, which includes Tavern.
More API
Ultimately, it's a public mod like GAx3. So after all the major things are stable, I will start to provide even more API for the map makers to use.
Jass-Galaxy!
Jass-Galaxy is a sub-tool which belongs to the grand War3 Mod (GA) project. It's still in a very early stage and won't be out in any time soon, but what I can say is it is a set of tools which would help you convert old script of war3 maps into SC2 and able to be used with the War3 Mod (GA).
You could saw a sample map on PTR arcade which its script is converted from the 1st mission of Reign of Chaos.
System Changes since 2.1.9 PTR starts
The Goblin Zeppelin now would came to pick up the passager if the passager right clicked the Zeppelin.
Eat Tree, War Club, Mount Hippogryph, Pick up Archer, Entangle Goldmine now can be issued by right-click. (They can't do this in a earlier version)
Orc totems no longer require placement check while placed, and would automatic summoned in a nearest spawnable position from the position you selected.
Changed default Hotkeys: [F1]-[F3] for heroes, which you wanted. [F4] for all army units.
The night is brighter than before.
'Enable Select Enemy Units' game option forced on. (Too many players asked me 'Why I can't select enemies/items?')
Orc/Night Elf workers are now selectable while working inside non-ancient buildings.
Acolyte gold harvesting texts are now shows up on their heads instead of over the goldmine. (To prevent overlap)
Skin system online, with a API trigger, players could use this to switch HD/non-HD models for heroes. but more importantly, the map-makers could use the API to define their own skin sets.
Added a new API which allows the map-makers to turn off the Time of Day label.
Hearthstone (Q): Scroll of Town Portal now would provide quick port ability to the carrier hero, same as the effect of double-click the scroll in the old war3, use this ability would consume 1 Scroll of Town Portal.The Hotkey of Summon Quilbeast (Beastmaster/Rexxar's spell) changed to U from Q, to avoid conflict.
Allied shops would be disabled if there is no agent nearby or all buyers' inventory are full.
You can now preview neutral shop's command card even if you haven't activated it.
Tree of Life would automaticly try to entangle nearby Gold Mine while constructed.
Moonwell's Replenish can auto-cast now.
Trees no longer tremble while nearby Creeps aggroed.
Bug Fixes since 2.1.9 PTR starts
Fixed the starting units of Undead race.
Fixed the bug which caused some healing hot amount to be half as expected.
Actually I started this mod years ago, and blizzard later changed the healing effect which caused this bug
Fixed bug: Goblin Sapper sometimes cause 0 damage while self-exploded.
Fixed some missing non-HD models
Paladin, etc. Some heroes have HD models in the official asset pack, so some of the non-HD models have been remove. So I uploaded the missed ones into my own mod.
Fixed 'cast Roar and Faerie Fire on morphed form' research.
In a early version, a data bug which caused these 2 upgrade can be researched before you have researched Master Training.
Fixed weapon upgrade for many 2-weaponed units.
In a early version, if a unit have 2 weapons, the weapon upgrade may wrongly add the extra damage of 2nd weapon to the 1st weapon instead.
Fixed the placement grids.
In a early version, some buildings may not appear in the centre of the placement grid.
Fixed the food usage of the corpse in the Meat Wagon
In a early version, the corpse in the Meat Wagon messed up the food usage of the player.
Fixed the strange noise when a hero with full inventory approach a vendor.
Fixed the issues which caused the Creeps ignore invisibility in combat.
In a early version, if a Creep is already attacking you, he will continue attack you even if you go invisible.
Fixed the issue which caused the Weapon of Huntress would bounce to invisible units.
Fixed the Unholy Aura.
In a earlier version, I accidentally set the Aura to be % generation.
Fixed the turning speed of all Ancients.
Now you can't cast multiple Eat Tree abilities rapidly by interrupt the ability earlier.
Fixed the collision of the Wisp's Gather ability.
In a earlier version, you could continuously use the Gather ability to make the wisp go deep into the woods.
Fixed the aggro radius of Creeps.
Earlier, some Creeps have longer aggro radius than expected.
Fixed Mana Flare.
The spell is missed in a earlier version.
Fixed the Creep XP.
The Creep XP was messed up in a earlier version.
Fixed the issue of casting Roar.
Earlier, if you selected multiple Druid of the Claw, then press the Roar button, all would cast the Roar ability.
Fixed the Vital percent of the Heroes revived by the Ankh of Reincarnation.
Fixed the AoE damage of Unstable Concoction.
Fixed all Ancient placement model, make them to be rooted.
Fixed the harvesting speed of Ghoul.
Fixed a building animation bug.
Destroy a building in upgrade/construction no longer render it locked in the upgrade/construction animation.
Magic Attack (weapon) no longer splash immunity targets.
Obsidian Statue/Destroyer model fix.
Human Tower model fix.
Devour can no longer work for lv 6+ Creeps.
Fixed the max movement speed of lv 2+ heroes.
In a older version, the max movement speed restriction would fail if a heroes levelled up to 2+. (The unit max speed in War3 Mod is 3.25, equivalence to the original war3 speed 400)
Fixed the Wisp/Acolyte floating text number.
Fixed Spirit Link, this ability no longer render the unit immunity to all non-Melee damages.
Fixed group icon order of the heroes. When selecting multiple Heroes, the heroes' icons would always sort by their ages.(The hero who built earlier would be in the front place of group icons)
Shadow Strike now unable to used on Spell-Immunity units.
Sacrifice has been redone to prevent exploits. (Were possible to have Acolytes not consumed before.)
Fixed the models of HD Carrion Beetles.
Fixed the particle of Infernal meteor.
Infernal now crashes trees properly.
The following AoE spell no longer damage sleeping Creeps:
Immolation, Permanent Immolation, Cloak of Flames, Phoenix Fire, Disease Cloud, Lightning Shield.
Trees now block vision.
Shop activate range is decreased to fit the value in War3.

Construct a building near Creeps would wake up them.
Creeps now seek help more often.
Use control spells (Polymorph, Hex, Storm Bolt, Entangling Roots etc.) on creeps would wake up them.
Uprooted Ancients now have the same attack priority as normal army units.

Out of curiosity, how does this work? Is it automatic if converting a WC3 map, or tool(s) that we can run alongside with the editor? I'm assuming the latter, will check the map out to see for myself once the PTR is up.

It's a standalone tool. Mempatch is something too dangerous, which may lead my account banned XD.
My first thought was "what's that yellow part of the mana bar" though, before realising it was the Sorceress' neck. Might be worth making the back of the mana bar opaque to make it clearer just how much mana a unit has? Same with the health bar! Only just noticed now that Thrall is on 20% hp.
Very unlikely, since the current SC2 engine does not support the majority of the animations/feature that are in a Heroes m3 model, you would require some serious scripting skills to be able to cover all that.
Heroes is a complete seperate set of files with its proper exe...
I don't even know if it is allowed to use my script and convert any of the models to fit the SC2 Mod now... so

How can i download this mod? As go top file>open>battlenet type war3 and doesn't show anything.

The mod requires patch 2.1.9 to work. The patch is still in public test. So you will need PTR editor to download it.
Plus, PTR realm is temporary down. See this blue thread below, please wait for it back online.

It depend on the official statement about if you can legally use heroes models.

Hmmm. well. though there are sitll size limits.
The size limits is which prevented me from able to upload the mod for a long time. Until we get the offical asset pack.
If we get everything 'heroesed', then it become overstaffed again.
