Yes! More people should join this! Let's work together to create a great campaign scene. :D
There may be a "campaign scene" yet now that Blizzard released the Art Tools, however there is still a lot left for them to do:
a) unlock more triggers that are Blizzard-only, they can start with the Autosave triggers
b) if they expect people to actually play campaigns online: allow save/load without replays, allow playing campaigns in singleplayer WITHOUT battlenet lag, allow map-linking in multiplayer, implement those online banks they were talking about
Will add my project when I finally have a thread for it.
I'm implementing a gameplay solution to the save/load problem in multiplayer. The player can never really lose, but his progress is set back by a bit (depending on the map he either has to revive his hero in a special building, giving the enemy time to recuperate, or all vital gameplay elements (built buildings, gathered resources etc. are saved in variables when he has reached a certain point in the game, and when he loses he is reverted back to that point). I actually believe it is more than just a solution. It feels good when I don't have to rely on technical features to ensure my progress in a game. I still agree that (auto)save/load should be implemented.
But they should really add a packaging system for campaigns like in WC3 plus let us decide if we want to play that in multiplayer. I'm working on a co-op campaign :(
It's true. Without you, there wouldn't be Warhounds in AS05 or campaign Zerg in AS03.
You know... On 1st April 2013 world understood that there are never enough Warhound today!
And for mission AS3 i had the idea of use all the evolutions on a survival mission 2 years ago, i saw that AS3 was perfect for my idea and ... Ta daaa! My Dream became true !! :D
I really want to see/make happen a custom campaign tutorials for beginners. Basically, a streamline of some basic tutorials from the wiki, tips from the pros(you guys), Blizzard maps to study (just a couple), story telling advice and a little more/much more. I was/still a total newb with the editor, but was so blown away by the Mass Recall campaign that I was like "must make my own campaign". Anyways, the first page I ever saw of this site was the CCI page. I think having a "tutorial/you want to make your own campaign" link would help inspire people and keep the scene fresh with new ideas and campaigns to play.
Not trying to be too ambitious. Lots going on for all of us. However, Red Rev and Eivindl seem to be setting up their own campaign tutorials/advice sections. What do you think Terhonator? CCI page got room for "Campaign Making for Beginners."
If you want to learn basics of campaign making inspecting my Hand of Humanity campaign might be good idea since I use only simple triggers. It is still possible to create good maps with no data editing and only simple triggers.

I collaborated and tested pratically all campaigns of the team
I approve of this
