So, I've decided that when Aureolin Eclipse is finished, I will integrate all three of my campaigns into one big super-campaign, where each of the previous campaigns will act as smaller parts of the bigger whole, in one big file.
Tthere will also be some changes to older maps (some of them small, some bigger). I will update this thread as I add them (some can actually be found in CM and AS already).
Changes include:
The units that are hired in CM01 are now confirmed to be Yojimbo mercenaries. Also note that the marine (who was previously unnamed) has now been given a name (Poke). He appears more in CM and AS, and will reappear in AE as well.
Firebats drop in and help you kill Zerg in CM01:
Planned changes:
A battle cinematic at the end of AS02, deepening Bayo's relationship with his men.
A new mission launcher.
Mission tips adding background on factions you meet and planets you visit.
I also hope to brush up on dialogue, add minor details like revealers of areas in micro missions, more transmissions, and hopefully integrate Quarinius a bit better into the Geraldus storyline, as well as clarify the relationship more between Ghost Caine and the Khaal-Ro.
I would also be open to suggestions about changes.
I played CM a long time ago. Back then I was annoyed by the high difficulty and that the units had no real abilities so it was just attack/move. I can see that the main hero has a stim pack on that screenshot, can't remember if he had that before.... I would suggest you take a look at each of the non-base-buildings missions and see if you can make the units more interesting by giving them a couple of abilities. I wonder how the gameplay would be if the player had one or two tanks in those missions.
Very interesting changes. It's funny to see you are actually still iterating on ideas in your finished campaigns to make it better. I like that!
Also, I find it very intriguing that you include the Yojimbo mercenaries this early in the CM. Makes them feel just a bit more important to the story.
It's awesome that you're putting together one big file containing your finished trilogy. I'll be exciting to replay the entire thing whenever Aureolin Eclipse is finished, so that I can experience some of the changes you mentioned and also kinda get a recap of the entire storyline again.

StarCraft II: Annihilation Campaign - A 24 mission single-player campaign featuring unique heroes, custom tracks, boss battles, a varied set of mission scenarios and three intersecting storylines.
Considering that those first units were hired externally, it made sense to retcon them as Yojimbo. It does indeed deepen the story somewhat. However, it should be noted that the Aminas tried to hire Yojimbo in AS08, and were declined (this is not a retcon, and was part of the original campaign as a small build-up to Aureolin Eclipse).
Note that AE can be played without replaying the new versions of CM and AS, although I suppose doing it anyway would make the experience more unified.

Ryan does indeed have stim now. The reason the heroes didn't have a lot of abilities was because every game on the Arcade had heroes with like 12-or-so abilities, and I wanted to counter that somewhat. However, after HOTS and Kerrigan I realized it could be quite fun, which is why Janus has so many abilities in AS10.

I think that on amber sun you should use the sc2 hots model for the raynor models that is used by one of your characters... Look at the image, soooo much better poligonal count and textures
I might check it out, but I'll only do it if I can remove the light beneath him, as well as his HOTS health bar, and if his colors can be changed. He needs to be white, not blue, as he belongs to the Northern Amina Soldiers. Blue is too much of a give-away that he is Amina (which is blue in general).
One thing that I want to do is to steer the music more according to events. Usually I have specific soundtracks for each cinematic, as well as one main soundtrack for gameplay. However, re-playing HOTS made me realize how certain events in the gameplay, which can be as simple as the enemy acknowledging your position, is often cued with a change in soundtrack.
I would also like to include a short cine in CM06 where Corelia has Quarinius in her sight, but says she misses him. This is a lie of course. She can hit him just fine, but obviously needs for Janus to kill him. This will act as foreshadowing to the CM ending.
Sc2 hots Raynor is fully team colored, you can use all colors that you want, even white
To add to that, the health bar and the light as you mentioned can also both be removed. I know the light beneath him is something located in the Actor Messages of the unit called"OmniLight"-something. I'm not completely sure, but you would basically need to remove that actor message.
The health bar I unfortunately don't know, though. I think it's located inside Actor Messages too but I haven't actually went through to try and find it as there are just so many actor messages associated with units.

Both the life bar and the hero glow are easy to remove. Go to the Actor, and set Unit Status Frame field (or something like that) to be empty/have no value, and remove the events that create and destroy the hero glow.
Anyway, the unified campaign/collection will have some extra cinematics and other refinements/changes? Cool, sounds like a deluxe edition of CM and AS :P
I wish there were extra missions exploring sub-plots, back stories, or the likes. It could be some story a generic marine makes up to impress his bros or something.

Haha, okay...? Umm, I think 30 missions will be enough for now.
Anyway, here's a preview of some of the changes I've made so far (click on images for higher resolution):
CM02 - Quarinius
Created revealers for when you enter some of the bigger rooms.
Added some idle dialogue:
Changed the music in the Quarinius cinematic.
Adjusted the dialogue in the Quarinius cinematic to tie his part closer to the Geraldus plot at an earlier stage:
CM03 - A Future Uncertain
Weakened some of the enemy attack waves somewhat to make the mission a bit easier.
When Janus tells Henderson that "memories are nothing but scars of the mind," Henderson now replies, "I disagree. I still have a tattoo of my ex precisely so I don't forget her. You see, the mistakes we remember, we don't commit twice."
CM04 - The Black Khan
Upped Janus' movement speed from 2.75 to 3.25 to make the mission go a little faster.
Added some idle dialogue:
Ryan now references Quarinius' warning:
Overseers aid the zerg on deck to make it a bit harder to reach the other end.
This is a small change, yet a significant one. Corelia sees Quarinius in the fog, takes aim, but he runs away before she can take a clean shot. This is foreshadowing, seeing as Corelia can't kill Quarinius if her plan is to work. I added a shaking camera to imitate Corelia taking aiming, as well as making it seem like she is starting to tremble when Quarinius runs away. There is a very cool zoom when Corelia takes aim as well.
My uploads are becoming obsolete! Maybe before AE comes out, I will stitch together something showing these changes as a video.

That sounds really cool! However, there probably won't be any plot ret-cons. The closest thing is Poke, and that's just a character who previously was unnamed now getting a name. Most of the changes will probably be in CM rather than AS (AE was already being planned while I made AS, plus I had grown much more as mapmaker compared to when I made CM).
Added more computers in the Perfect Soldiers lab (it was a bit empty before).
Added more hidden enemy soldiers in the final cinematic.
Added enemy drops pods in the final cinematic:
Before Janus faces off with Caine, he takes a stand against Kovac. This was done primarily to show that Janus doesn't necessarily trust Kovac (or like him), he just has a similar goal.
Opening the fortress gate is now done by using EMP on the gate control instead of just hitting a beacon:

I think tanks would make the missions very easy.
@EivindL: Go
Actually, I found Janus part in AS10 quite fun, it returned me to the old Tosh tug-of-war mission in WoL.
This is great!
