I woke up this morning and learned that my dad was in the hospital, When I got there I learned that he had died on the way, He suffered a major heat attack,
No one thought it was going to be bad because he walked out to the ambulance, and was sitting up talking to them from what I understand.
I wish you and your family hope and energy to manage your new unfortunate situation.
Your life will surely change in future.
Get off the computer and be there for your family. If you feel about talking, talk about it. Don't try to keep your sorrow within yourself.
This is a sad situation and it's perfectly fine to be sad.
I was in a similar situation 3.5 months ago when my father died to his first heart attack during vacations. :'(
Being there for your family is the right thing to do now. They need to see how you deal with it and you need to see how they deal with it.
How old are you? I lost my dad almost 1.5 years ago... it's pretty shitty thinking about all you'll miss, but your life will go on as is.
Edit: Man the medical community really needs to step it up so we can stop dieing from things like this... I bet in 100 years humans will be living for very very long periods...
I myself lost my mother suddenly, almost 13 years ago, and it was quite a change. Spend the time with your family, and don't bottle it up. I can tell you from experience it is not the way to go. It's ok to cry, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Bottling it up will just hurt you in the long run.
Talk about it. Cry about it. Remember the good times. Life must go on, and make him proud.
My mom is pretty lucky, she is in her 60's and still has her mom (though her dad just died last year). Still, be nice having your parents around at 60.
Because I can never give a reply to threads like these without feeling as if my reply is utterly pointless, I decided to see if I could find you a song from my collection that conveys exactly how you must be feeling. After an hour of searching lyrics, I came up with the simplest yet clearly best solution I have.
My lord man, I'm terribly sorry to hear about your loss. I can't say much that'll ease the pain, no one can. It's a tremendous, awful thing to experience.
I hope you're alright bro.
I am so sorry to hear this Taintedwisp :( I guess it can happen to anyone. It is just very sad that it happened to you and your family. Loosing someone is a long process, but I deeply hope that we'll see you again someday.
This may not mean much to you, but I'll be praying for you and your family. My deepest condolences because I can't even imagine what life would be like without my father.
