Some missions are reusing terrain sets of campaigns, some (like the one featured in the screenshot) are new. They also are hard, they throw nasty curveballs (ever escalating waves and compositions, hybrids being thrown in, etc.)
The commander is MAJOR decision, because it also totally alters your tech tree. For example, as Vorazun, I got no High Templar, Centurions instead of Zealots, no Carriers, no mothership, no robotics bay at all. In exchange, I got Cosairs, Dark Archons, and some other nice passives.
On topic, another reason this isn't just lame DLC, consider the cinematic they made for it. Most DLC doesn't make cinematics just for it. That alone is a lot more effort then most DLC.
Yeah, it kind of throws back to Mental Omega (IMO, the apex of RA2/YR modding), or even Kane's Wrath, in which not only faction, but also 'sub-faction' selection is dependent on player style.'
if they charge for it. It won't be higher than 9.99$, probably between 4.99$-9.99$. It's just 3 missions per minicampaign.
They said they will be making 9 minicampaigns that's about 27 missions. In other words we are getting a 4th expansion by tiny bits. It's also a nice way to test the minicampaign model for future RTS games like Wc4
They also said they may be adding more units to multiplayer between seasons.
I like their spirit. I hope they find a way to join Sc2 Arcade with HotS's.
Well, gettiing new systems, features and editor capabilities with eacth small update every 3-4 months is much more preferrable for me personally, than waiting many years for a huge expansion pack. I'm more than sure, that Blizzard will try to implement new mechanics and systems which can be scrapped to useful bits by the communtiy for their own projects to use. Looking forward to it.
I like to think she's like the Boba Fett of StarCraft - She barely does anything in-game, hardly says anything except in the 'Ghost Academy'/Ghost/Spectres novels and still leaves an impression. Beyond her bun shot, I mean.
Folks, please leave the "sexy" comments and the assessment of Nova's "buns" out of this. It makes us all look bad and creates a very unwelcoming environment for women in the community.
Guys I love you all because you guys are my fellow mapsters and I an always looking forward to your next awesome maps and assets and so on but you guys sound like MORONS when you make a "buns" Comment that will stay in the tread for many years to come and still sound like morons in the future.
Now dont shoot me for pointing this out! When you sounds like morons.
Isn't she a robot? She didn't age since Wings of Liberty, she definitely a robot. The buns you like are made of plastic and aluminum! Most probably she's someone's sex doll, who self-gained an intelligence and became a killing machine. Why else they designed her this sexy way. I think Nova mini-campaign will be about killing those who used her as a sex doll when she was only half-conscious and couldn't resist.
Maybe we need to get together and make our own campaing about KelMorian Combine and Umojans and of civilization in the k sector.
I feel that's a sub-arc Blizzard could've exploited - Given Mengsk fell, the Umojans and Kel-Morians would take advantage of the Dominion's weakness and try to assert control over a Sector they don't even recognize anymore.
@Zolden: Go She has the depth of a robot, so I guess you're right.
@DeltaCadimus: Go Apparently they chickened out with all the Zerg invasions that oddly (from their own point of view) targeted Dominion worlds. Go figure.

Having played some of the coop at Blizzcon.

Am I being dense? I don't see where they talk cost.

Of course not, they're just getting started on this! :p
I'd rather have a campaign following Tosh, even Mira Han. But I guess blonde-kerrigan makes more success.

I think Nova is a good character that dosent get much exposure plus she is super sexy. So hell yes I want some mission just with her.

Shoot you? I'm just laughing at it, but that's what forums are sometimes for, right? To let out a bit of laughter, sometimes.

No exposure? One book, a mission in SC2, a manga, and countless other cameos isn't enough exposure?
Meanwhile the KelMorian Combine and Umojans are giant tracts of civilization in the k sector and have barely even had any SC missions about them.

Well, the KMC is tangentially featured in TAC...
