I only have 35 triggers... They are all extremely optimized as far as player usage, maybe not completely optimized in efficiency or readability, but ya.
If I delete triggers it doesn't help this "Gray death" effect go away.
Did you try any of the copy/paste stuff that will mentioned? If you could paste trigger in, you could always just edit their contents. Does anything happen if you delete triggers?
Don't remember , i know i deleted all the dependencies first, but that didn't do it on it's own, and I fiddled with other options in the editor, but i can't remember how or what exactly i did.
for future reference, if a map has several sections, the 5th element in the menu ( File, Edit, View, Data, Section) only the triggers from the active section can be modified. select the one that has the triggers you want to change and it will work.

So... The day before launch on a project that has been under development for nearly 10 months now.
Can't create any new triggers, action defintions... I can however still create events and actions and such.
I created another test map and I was able to create triggers in it.
My trigger/script size is at 3mb, if that is of significance?
Help?
I tried searching around for about an hour, but literally no one has had this problem?
:c
Edit: It seems to only be effecting the current version of the map, but I really don't want to have to go back, or if this happens again..
try saving as a map components file. Then see if you can make stuff from that. if not, make a new map, copy paste stuff back in.
Edit: alternatively copy paste the map components file and see if that allows you to work on it.
Still alive and kicking, just busy.

How many triggers do you have? Maybe you have hit some sort of limit. It might be time to start optimizing triggers.
I generally find people make far more triggers than they need to (such as 1 per player) which can often lead to a staggering number of triggers.

also for the record, you can save your data info by creating a new map components folder and copy pasting the data folder in.

You can copy triggers but you cannot paste them.
I tried spamming over 300 triggers in a new map, I don't think there is a trigger limit? (at least this low)
My older versions of the map also have trigger sizes of 3mb...
I tried hitting every key on the keyboard hoping to find some shortcut that i had accidentally pressed in order to ... corrupt? this map file?
I feel like if I go back to an older version and start updating back to where I am this will just happen again :/
I don't believe it is HOTS dependent, if that is of significance.
You cannot add new triggers inside read-only libraries if that is of any help. You need to add them in the global list panel.
This issue did seem to happen after I opened the libraries panel... Did I somehow click on something inside of there?
@Sapphire_united: Go
Make sure that view ->show libraries is unchecked. that might help.

Alternatively do what I do and right click the global list/overview list and make a trigger using that menu.
Ya.. No go for adding from global list..
Unchecking show libraries didn't help either.
I was able to copy and paste the triggers from this version into an older version (thankfully that was all that I had been working on)
I'm uploading the corrupt version so you can see if you can get it to work.
I removed the engine, so you cannot test it.
I got it to work, removed all your dependencies in the process though so you'll have to reconnect them.

I think for future reference it would be good for you to go back and see what fixed it.
There are literally no topics pertaining to this problem.
