Nice. I think your creation is better than the real bridge itself! The color you added make it more like Halo than the grey of the real bridge I think. And with the purple ashes in the air with alot of HDR. It does fit pretty well. It creates an environment that is inexistant in Halo, or at less, in the picture.
What are the lights under the doors?
Something interesting is that you only added one beam instead of two. I think it's better like that.
It could be cool if it was a real map =P Where there is two teams and the goal is to reach the other base into a kind of DoTa. Hero with spells and allies that spawn constantly. There should be like 2 or 3 bridges =P Making the pathing though might be kinda hard with stairs and everything...
Also, a note out of subject, try my only map if you are on North America server. =D It is to pratice multitasking but differently than the existing maps for that. It is a dual 1v1 against computers with some usefull settings. For example flashing supplies when it gets near the maximum, samething for mineral, you can set a maximum of mineral or you lose, or just a maximum, so you must use it or your losing mineral by doing anything, set computer's difficulty, etc. This is actually my first nice working map haha. I also made a really basic defence, but this is something else. Please, by using "Create Game" find the map "Double Build Micro" by Fenix (me), and try it. There might be mistakes in the dialogs explications. My first language is not english. Anyway, give feedback =D
Thanks for the feedback Nebuli, I agree the cliffs definitely needed some work but I also want to keep it sorta close to Halo. In the process of trying to fit my bridge into a massive cliff the textures went a little wacko >.< . I decided to do some give-and-take with what you suggested and I think it at least looks a little better this way, as I was able to remove some of the monotony of the cliff face. The gray fog should be more even now, but I don't want to add too much or else the ground can't be seen.
There are no custom models in this map. Everything used is directly from the editor, it's just been rigged to Hell and back =P.
The energy beams are actually the Rooftop Solar Panels doodad with the HDR turned up to 13, the color changed to light blue, and the proportions being (X: 10, Y: 500, Z: 500). I miss Halo too haha, 4v4 CTF lans were way too much fun. (And thank you for welcoming me to SC2Mapster in the last WTE.)
I actually had just added the second beam before you posted >.<! But then again I'm not entirely sure it adds that much more lol, so judge it as you may. I'm glad you enjoyed the bridge :D, I'v played your map and it's pretty interesting (I'm actually trying to get a friend to play it to improve his use of control groups and macro) and hopefully in a little while or so I'll have time to post some constructive feedback on it.
The lights under the entrances are ValhallaGridFloor(TerrainObjectValhallaGridFloorDoodad) 's
It takes a terrainer to know how much frustratingly edgy work has gone into that bridge. How much time did you spend raising all those doodads and putting them in exactly the right place?
Better. Maybe tint those rocks on the cliffs to get them closer to the color of the cliffs. Also, in lighting, maybe give the world a slightly yellow tint to counteract the blue and hopefully get everything looking more gray.
Or perhaps just play with the fog settings a lot lol.
Hmmm... Well, you need a lot more undergrowth in the forest and general detail, and I think they mountains should be bigger and use some of the rock doodads. It would take a lot of time and dedication, but it might pay off in the end. Also tint your rocks to more match the terrain texture you're using.
Yeah I'v tried to make them smaller, but if I try and make them less thick they won't extend as far since they're just stretched out solar panels. Wish I knew of a way to put in lasers and have them show in the editor.
This is great. I love the rocks in the ground. Alot of underbush. great.
I think there is too much fog though. I'm not sure if you did, but I think I would change some of the fog for more field of view from the camera setting. So the far mountain will appear a little bit more, but more fuzzy, blurry (I don't know the word; Google Translation ;) ) Also, the sky is too fuzzy/blurry. So I don't know, you probably used it, but I think you should play with the setting a little bit more. I like it in general however. I wonder what is around... This is a view from bottom...
You might want to go into the Data editor, find the model and make it bigger there. After this, you come back into the Doodad panel and you replace your Solar Panel. You can make them be bigger into the Data so when you come into the Doodad, they appear bigger and when you set them to 500% they are more than 500%. That's a way to create a bigger Doodad. For example, if you set the model to 2x, 2y, 2z, instead of 1x, 1y, 1z, it will be two times bigger, and when you set it to 500%, it will be like 1000%.
Lookin' good so far! I like that rock-face on the left side and the subtle crow sitting on the log, it adds some liveliness to the picture. I also like that your eyes are brought up to the stone structure through that non-linear, curvy path. Though I agree with Sc, I would like to see some different camera angle shots to see what's happening elsewhere if that's possible.

Here's an update to my little Skyrim project. What do you guys think, so far?
@Nebuli2: Go
Ive actually also tried to make so Skyrim inspired terrain. Something I've notices thou is that my terrain is alot more lush than Skyrim.
Its not finnished, and there as chance it never will be as im swamped right now but heres the work so far.
(Still needs a lot of trees, rocks and minor details to make it interesting)

Too long haha—Probably around 3-4 hours on the bridge alone. But I guess that also includes the design process.
@F0xtail: Go
Maybe you should make the laser-cables a bit smaller? Comparing them to the UT terrain, they seem a bit thick and too dominant in your picture.
Also: looks like Skyrim terrain = Norway with dragons?

I Thought that there were dragons in norway?? o.O
but yeah its sorta tundra-ish with vikings and all that crap so pretty much like scandinavia yeah
This is just a beginning of a map. I realized that world of Fallout3 is very yellow/gray. There is no green grass at all.
I'm really lazy with texturing. Ground is just 130 value unifrom texture of yellow grass with dirt rough. (Tarsonis)
