can some one help me i dont know whats wrong i have AT 4 i think the 8 direction flame tower.well my unit shoots 8 flames i have a persistent with N,NE,E,SE,S,SW,W,NW.Thoose cordinates then i have a another persistent from Y axis:-0.25 to -4.00 with decrements(negative) of 0.25.now this i think should shoot at the 8 points from the first persistent but no it shoots at the units help
there is no target missile its a offset every 0.25 dealing damage(second persistent).and their is no unit any where im using if you could look at the hellion and see how that works and tell me a better way then my way(hellion way)

The missile error had nothing to do with the actor. the level 1 launch missile effect still had ID ''CorruptionLaunchMissle'' in which it linked back to the corruption actor, and it shared the actor with my ability, or something. Whatever, my ability works now. Oh, for some reason the damage effect doesn't do the exact amount of damage as I put in the field Combat - Amount.
hey borg im gonna give you credit but i changed some actor and damages effects and change it to a siege tank how do i make it so the tank turret will look at the flare.im sure i can figure it out but since you made it im thinking it will be easier for you to minuplate but i just need to know what to add to make it look
Some of these beginner towers don't seem all that beginner to me. I have the Hydra tower almost working.. But it has a bug of units that are close to it for some reason.
I can't work on this anymore, but here is the buggy version of the Hydra tower. It has issues with hitting targets close and at its maximum range, and I'm not sure why.
I am going off the top of my head, I didn't think it would be to hard, again some of them may be more advanced, just ask for help here on any areas you may be stuck on :)
It's a Missile Mover problem and a Persistent Period Duration problem.
2 things I did.
changed the Mover of the (Launch Effect) from PiercingSpinesWeapon (Unnamed) to LongBoltMissile (Unnamed)
changed the Period Duration of the (Persistent) effect from 0.016x to 0.1
Interseting to note is that at 0.016x period, it did damage to middle units only, but at 0.7 and 0.8 duration, it doesn't even FIND units to damage. At 0.1 duration, it works pretty good.
This cleared up the problem... mostly.
Your missile was moving too fast and 0.016 is too short of a period duration. A duration of 0.1 worked wonders.
1 slight problem that arose and I'm too tired to figure it out(plus I'm not really sure about Switches... I've never used them) is that it can sometimes hit 3 units. This is because it runs a search effect at whatever point the missile is at every 0.1 seconds. So, at point A, it finds 1 enemy, hits it. At point B, it finds 2 enemies, hits both, switch would appear to destroy missile.
If you limit the search from -1(no limit on units found) to 1, sometimes it finds the first unit, skips the second, then hits the third.
I'm thinking adding a behavior on the missile itself that has 2 charges, each "damage" effect instead would be a set that would damage & remove a charge. No charges = removes behavior = suicide?
Then again, might be worthwhile to check a straight missile tutorial that pierces only so many enemies, if any exist.

i also got that error about the actor thing. but not for a tower...just for a regular unit. and what fixed it for me was the mover. i forgot to set it. Im proabably wrong but that may fix the damage problem

your missiles or whatnot should be firing at Target Point, not Target Unit.

most likely it has a 1 set in the Armor reduction field or whatever its called.
I guess I'l take Beg towers 2 and 3 as 3 is like 2 but just slightly different. I guess I'll also do a custom tower and post it. Just for fun.
