I was wondering if someone could make a tagging saying "Fuck Geraldus" for Aureolin Eclipse (doodad)? I'd like it in red, in the style of the "Alive Inside", although perhaps a bit smaller, and fitting for walls. The tagging will most likely be the opening shot of mission 4, and will be seen on cement shantytown walls.
That looks very cool, but is it possible to make it less stylish and more randomized? I guess it's supposed to look like it was made by someone in a hurry, instead of a "street artist" (again, look at "Alive Inside").
I personally would use the Texture Select By Id method. Just use a decal model instead of a zealot. If you need help PM me I have a bunch of experience with that method.
you can use Texture Select By ID like Jack said or just change the image file to one a doodad is already using and import in in the file path Assets/Textures and it will overwrite it and replace that doodad....
The texture select isnt hard to do but you will need to be walked thur it for sure.
Okay, I managed to change the picture, using Space Platform Cliff Decal. However, the image doesn't fit, as I only get a portion. And for each of the 15 different variations, I get a different portion. :p
If you need a splat to visualize your image, try anything from this list. There I used to attach models I've been creating for people when they ask something. Some of those are splats (name includes "splat" or sometimes "decal"), and they may work for you.
Note, that there's another way to change texture. Open the model in notepad+ +. search for ".dds", change texture name to the texture you want. Just let texture name has the same number of characters as the texture you replace. m3 files cant tolerate offsets.

How's that? made it less perfect and more rushed looking

Is this any better?
White one so you can just tint it however you want.
Edit: Drats Syco beat me to a new upload. And why can I see his but not mine?
They do look great. Maybe I'll use both of them.
How would I make a doodad out of it?

Gah...I always forget people can do that...
I'm having a bit of trouble implenting it. The texture by ID method just gives me headaches. How do I do the "replace" method?
Import the texture in the exact same path where the original is, and give to it the exact same name.
You can find the path by opening the model in the scene editor and pressing ctrl+d to find the material properties of it.

The only thing is that it can't be seen in the editor. Anyway, ingame works just fine.

That works. And I can see it in the editor. :D
Is there a way to make it stand up so it can be seen on walls too? It doesn't seem like roll/pitch works for it.
That's because it doesn't have a mesh, it's just a projection.

If you switch the texture with an already wall mounted decal I'd think it'd work.
Also if you use a timer for the actor events the texture will show in the editor.
I can make a demonstration if needed.
I sent you a PM.
