    Sorry for the confusion. When I said 'no spells' I was referring to Tya's question. All of the spell assets are there, but it will be up to you to hook them up to data.

    All structures are included. The spell effects have not been recreated. Unit sounds include selection and order sounds. The mod is like the standard SC2 mod files.

    Unfortunately the terrain textures don't work in the SC2 engine and would need to completely recreated. Environment (ambient) sounds are in there as well as all the doodads, structures, etc.

    No plans or intentions about an entirely redone HD Warcraft games.

    Besides that, I think most questions were about other assets and models outside of Warcraft III and to that I can say there hasn't been any thought or talk about them. This is strictly about integrating assets from Warcraft III.

    Hey guys,

    I actually didn't the stream to get this much attention. I'm working on the communication that we'll release next week to coincide with the PTR launching and I want to make sure I answer as many questions as I can about it.

    Please ask away so I can start doing any necessary research.

    To respond to what I've seen: It's correct that most models are the ones from War3 without any changes except the textures are higher resolution. The ones that have updated models are all of the heroes from the 4 primary races and some of the demon models.

    Unit and spell sounds are all included.

    Scheduled to come out next week.

    Again, let me know what other questions you have so my post is as comprehensive as it can be.

    Hey guys,

    So it seems that we've made some solid strides for the 'unable to download' issue and have a possible fix to test. The 'unable to publish' is still being researched and I've made sure to forward the reports people have been making. It's our goal to recreate the issue in house and have the logs to study to find a fix.

    So from our perspective, both being unable to publish, and being unable to download maps has not been fixed in the live environment.

    It looks like the engineers are getting closer to figuring out the cause. They are throwing back and forth all sorts of terms I've never heard about but it looks promising. There's nothing better than a programmer who smells blood in his code. The hunt is on!

    Nothing exciting to share. We've been able to reproduce both unable to download and unable to publish map but no updates on being able to resolve it yet.

    Hey everyone,

    Thanks for your help thus far.

    I tried my best, but I wasn't able to get our QA and engineers to work longer than they were supposed to as everyone has gone home 30 minutes ago for the Thanksgiving break. They began testing but they weren't able to make enough progress in the time they had.

    I'm sorry for how long it's taken us to address this. When we are back on Monday, and everyone is back from vacation, I'll do everything I can to make sure we get this resolved.

    To everyone having this issue, can you reply with the following information:

    What are you trying to do - publish a map in the editor? play the map in arcade? play the map in custom games?

    Map name that is failing

    Bnet email of the account getting the failure

    Time of the failure

    Exact client (or editor) behavior (does it time out, does it fail immediately, what’s the message)

    Okay so there sounds like there will be a decent group of people attending so we're going to schedule an Arcade 'mini-talk' at 2 PM till 3 PM on Friday November 7 at the Community Corner between halls B and C. The format hasn't been determined but most likely it will be focused on talking to you, the developers directly.

    I am not a developer at all in regards to the editor. I just talk to smarter people then me to try to help you guys when you run into roadblocks. I'm great at playing maps though. =)

    Okay sweet, so it seems there will be a couple of you guys there in addition to the RTC winners. We'll definitely need to plan a hang out. I'll be at the community booth on both days so we can meet in that area. I'll update this thread with more details when we get closer to the event.
