I want to spawn a zergling but the space is so small that you would see it pop up out of nowhere. So I thought I'll make a burrowed one. I tell it to unburrow then to attack any random living unit. It unburrows but it doesn't attack anything. Any advice?
How uptight are they on these lengths? I can imagine them letting the last video slide, it's only 3 second over. But the 30 second one ya. I don't think they should let that slide, even those it's amazing.
I want a group of marines to be moving down a hallway running backwards, if they can, and shooting at zerglings chasing them. I also can't seem to get the zergling units to attack once spawned.
I'd like to propose a polite request to extend this contest by one week. My reasoning; personally I would love to enter this contest. However all time I have set aside for map making has been devoted to the Blizzard map contest.
I agree with him. If sc2mapster mainly wants to see what can be done with cinematic then they should wait till some map makers are done or just give more time. Most of the creative minds are probably working on the blizzard contest. Luckily for me I'm a beginner so I'm learning so this will help me out. Also it helps me since I'm still learning stuff so I'm going slightly slow.
What would you need for the UI and camera? I've been wanting to try messing around with custom UI and camera triggers. But I've been doing main mechanics type things. But you said you got that covered. I might be able to beta test if you need me to.
I've never played diplomacy before but I'm wanting to learn triggers. When I try to make a map I get stuck with what I should be making. I see all these things that I want to try out in the trigger editor. So if I'm told what to do I might be able to make something decent or try at least.
Maybe you can look at the siege tank's upgrade that deals less damage to allies. I think it said something like 70% less damage or it was just 70 less damage. I'm not sure. But that might be the same. If it's percent change it to 100% less damage for allies. If it's just damage change it to the weapon damage number to stop allies from getting hurt.
I'm not sure if that would work. I'd give it a try though.
I have this room and some marines holding off from zerglings. I want them jumping down from the cliffs. Would I just look for a reaper tutorial on how to add his reaper jump to another unit? Also I want when zerglings die them to spray acid blood, like the aliens in aliens. I'm looking at banelings and it kind of seems they burst with acid when they explode but is that their attack or an ability on their death. Some help on these two would be great.
Look at how cloak is set up. Might be similar. I'm looking at cloak right now and it says it's a behavior. I'm not entirely sure but that sounds to be what you might want. I would try that but would also wait for someone else to say something.
I'm looking to try making a cinematic. I know I probably won't win the contest if I enter. But I want to see what I can do. Sadly the terrain is ruining the mood of the cinematic.
The cinematic is basically a group of marines protecting a researcher and some other people. I was watching Aliens today. So I set up a lab and then a corridor to have zerglings come after them. Then after 45 seconds a marine with a flamethrower comes in. It's pretty crazy. I can't set up a good terrain to save my life. But I have these ideas of what I want.
Just a lab is needed. Looks good in dark lighting, needs suspense. Make it look a little chaotic in the lab. Please PM me.

How do I post my trigger like that?

I don't really understand these. How do I add units to them and can someone give me an example of why someone would use a unit group?

Is it still tomorrow? I need to start getting some work done.

I have used issue order but they just stay there. I wonder if marines even have the animation of running backwards.

Looks amazing. I really love the first picture except what's been pointed out. Otherwise the others look great too.
