    @Wakeman: Go

    check out Vexal's Team Tower Defence Map. The Heroes in that Map gain Stat points which you can use to purchase certain stats. Its pretty much exactly what you want.

    The way it looks like its done (atleast to me), is he has a Seperate Stat which records how many Stat Points you have to Spend. The only problem with this is you can only have 3 stats since the 4th would be your Spendable Stat Points.

    ok i see. But basically it has 2 periods running the Damage effect twice.

    How would i run a damage effect and the Apply Buff Effect? If i change my weapons effect from the Launch to a PErsistant it doesnt shoot the missile.

    1. Make sure the Command card has the proper stuff. There might be a chance the old nuke is still on the Command card causing issues. Thats my only idea on that.

    2. Basically make an Ability that applies a Behavior with the regen bonuses. Then set the Validators for the behavior for Not Cloaked and not in combat (not sure which validator would be for not-in combat, im still beginner with validators.) Make sure the Regen Behavior has -1 Periods and like .5 sec duration so its constantly updating. So the Second you cloak or are in combat the Regen wont be applied.

    Anyone?

    My Data Editor skills would be around intermediate, so i dont really need step-by-step instructions. Just need some concept of how it works so i can grasp persistants and On-Attack Effects.

    I appreciate any Help.

    Could you just apply a Behavior to the Unit in question with Duration -1. Then In Modification +, just add +1 Armor. Then its basically a +1 Armor Buff that lasts forever. You can also check the "Flags" field and make it Hidden if you dont want the Buff visibile.

    But ive been learning mostly the DAta Editor as of Late, and my Trigger knowledge is from War3 pretty much. So i dont know the exact limitations and what not yet.

    Im having a hard time understand persistants and how they work. I have yet to find a good tutorial on making a DOT effect. I can apply a DOT easily through an Ability but im trying to make it apply when you attack with a Weapon.

    People say use a persistant, which i have tried, but i dont understand how to link them up or get it to apply properly. I have a Missile Weapon that shoots Roach Acid for example, and i want it to Apply a DOT effect dealing dmg over 15 seconds. Also what Validator do i use so the DOT can only be Applied once at a time and not infinite.

    Another thing is a Critical Hit Type ability. How do i make it so it applies anytime you attack. Like every attack has a 15% chance todo double damage.

    If anyone knows a really good tutorial for Dots please post it, for i have yet to find a good tutorial about persistants or actually creating an on Attack Effect (aside from that one where he makes Photon Cannons Shoot Psi storms, but the English is horrible and there is Little to no Explaining of what or Why hes doing certain things.

    Thanks for Any Help.

    Riley's Missile Tutorial is Really good. Will help you with your Sound and Impact Actors and is very easy to follow. None of that Painful Text you were complaining about.

    1. Something that happens based on Chat Message is a Trigger and not done with the data Editor.

    2. I dont know much about sounds yet. However it should be a pretty straight forward play sound for triggering Player. Although you say it doesnt exist, i know it does.

    @Sceptilesolarbeam: Go

    At the very top when your selecting the Attack Actor, there is a Attack Effect, Launch Effect and Impact Effect. Just make sure to link it up to your weapon.

    You will prolly only use the Attack Effect Field, since Launch is used for shooting missiles and Impact is used when a Missile Hits a Target.

    Although im still pretty new to Actors so i might not be 100% right.
