    Either remove the image from your signature OR stop making the rest of those working on it look bad.

    me and FockeWolf are working on a map.

    The terrain is fine up until we try to publish and test ingame. Ingame the ground is pink.. water is fine.. and the cliff sides are black.

    The other thing is that the textures look fine for focke in his version and what he sees in game.. but for me.. no matter how many restarts.. comp or editor.. no matter how many republishes... or backups redone of that map... it is still messed up for me.. AFTER a recent patch update for 1.5.

    lol yea.. I could use some help in balancing units. I already have a set way. I have a spreadsheet typed up. I have done a lot of work on this map but it seems blance is the big thing. once that is taken care of ill hve a perfectly playable fun map. currently it is playable in its alpha stage but there are some subtle changes like life armor, or life regeneration, movement speed, range.. that would make the game better balanced.

    seems like whatever I was doing, made me go in circles. Take the marine, zergling, and zealot for example. the smallest and most basic of the units. I rasie the range on the marine, then i have to raise the armor on the zealot or the zergling. but the zealot had shield so now the zergling is underpowered. so, on top of raising the armor for the zergling, Id have to raise the hp regeneration for him too for vsing the zealot. and now the marine is underpowered...

    since the spreadsheet, I havent had to go back. But, I feel like the time that it is taking, weeks, months, should be cut down into 2-3 days of nonstop work.

    this is very cool stuff. aside from how vague that was, if u want someone to spend hours texturing your terrain id be happy to in exchange for a peak at your triggers lol. I've been interested in a risk style map regarding how territories work and how they are linked to the scoreboard, reward new/different units etc..of course, Ive played ww2 diplo, but most of my curiosity sprung from page 2's european risk revolution when i saw how easy it all looked and had so many ideas on how to make it better.. The creator of that map was in my team for maybe 2 days of activity looking for help.. unfortunately you can only bring a man so far and his map will stay on page 2 lol! :0

    I never got a look into his system but I do have a fondness for terraining. texturing.. its basic but i can do it til it looked like the mona lisa.. ill spend hours, if not days critiquing to perfection and you won't be disappointed. I imagine your looking for a real world look so, where i fall short, I'm willing to learn anything I need to in order to do the job right.

    lol Im glad u like it. plz tell Jack what you think since hes the one making them. he deserves credit.

    If I could put the flag on the loading screen I would simply make it the official tag for TG. I guess it would be cool to make the "stamp" wavy like a flag.. or even put an edge on it like a postage stamp lol. eh well I'll let this stamp sit for a bit before I go asking for more editing on it lol. give jack a little reak from doing the same thing over and over lol.

    I hadnt thought about that but seriously... why would anyone want to do that lol

    I suppose they could try to make their maps appear to be accepted by the team. The idea is to hopefully be apart of a project that gets big enough to be seen by many. if a person tries to counterfiet our stamp, well it will most likely be on a map that doesnt get very far. But to consider what you are suggesting, do you know how we could make this images right click menu lose the "copy" option??

    This is great Since the 1.5 editor is new to the public. Navigating is slightly different,... which kind of causes older tutorials to be outdated :/

    I have a habit of remaining very noob with the editor. People learn at their own paces. Let me know if u need a noobs perspective on this/with this.

    That is the error.I was editing my map using the 1.5 patch version. I can open my map in both versions of the editor.. and I was able to publish the map in the 1.5 patch.However, opening the map in the old version, it seems the minimap terrain turns black and I get the error: Unable to generate preview image (Core: invalid or unexpected parameter) ...

    That is true, Charys.

    The good thing about having such a full team is that there are so many different ideas. some people come in flooding with motivation, while others have experience. I do not have nearly the most experience, but I do have a lot of motivation to keep an active team and help other team members.

    convert the files from tga. tga sometimes works. Sometimes it doesnt. dds and m3 are the only ones that i know of.

    The stamp? requires that u put the team name in your loading screen if you have recieved any help from the team, as soon as your individual project becomes something you are proud of.
