0.4 fixes the horrible bug that only let one player play. The map now supports all five players as it should! Sorry for all the trouble, but now I've tested it in every way possible and it finally works!
0.5 and 0.6: The map will now properly remove a leavers units and disable spawning for that player. Increased the difficulty; it's now challenging without being too hard (on the lower difficulty settings anyway).
Also, I'm looking for someone to host my map on the non-EU servers. PM me if you're interested.
Credits: To whoever made the original Poker Defense map for SC:BW.
Thanks to: Nemesis (EU) and the SC2Mapster community for all the help.
Type: Defense.
Players: 1-5 (lobby might show more, but don't trust it)
Available: EU servers only currently, to host; create a custom game and search for the map.
Features:
Get defending units by playing poker.
52 card deck, cards integrated into the UI, 3 changes draw poker.
25 waves (bosses to come soon).
Upgrades and other smaller, miscellaneous features.
[NYI] Hero Shop system (before the end of the month).
Description
As stated above, it's just like the old Poker Defense from SC:BW, where you try to get the best poker hands possible, trade them in for a units, and then use those units to tear through any enemies sent your way. If you can't kill the enemy units before the end of the wave, you loose a life for each unit remaining. You win if you're the last player standing (but you can keep playing) or if you've complete all 25 waves, and you loose if you run out of lives. More details available as tips in-game.
If you like the map and you got any kind of experience with balancing maps, or just would like to give a tip or suggest a change, please contact me either here or by the e-mail address included in the map (under the "Upcoming Changes" tip). I'm honestly quite bad at balancing, so please help a fellow creator out! Anything about the wave health, wave bounties, unit damage, upgrade cost and so on. Thanks!

I'd like you to know that searching "Poker" "Defense" "Full" "Deck" with maj or min, or the whole name "Poker Defense - Full Deck" did not return any maps. That's why most people will give up playing it, and that's a shame.
Maybe use a smaller name ?
I always play like that, because of all the "let's spawn 10.000 units!"-kind of maps. But you're right, I'll upload some better quality screenshots ASAP.
I noticed that myself but I'm not sure why. It worked with the first version, it was in the 0.2 update that it vanished. I'll see if I can get it fixed today. Thanks for the heads up.
Thanks. I'm actually looking for someone to host my map on the non-EU servers, so more people can play it.
Also, as mentioned, I did some bug fixes and released v0.2. I also significantly increased the enemy health - it should be better balanced and more challenging now (on the harder difficulty settings anyway).
Hello,
i have 2 things that i like to point out. First is that i played the map with my friends today and only the host could see and interact with his cards the other two had fog of war on and didn't see their cards. secound the player in the top right there are some issues with the creep because in the top right corner there#re always some creeps just standing there and when you shoot at them ther're running into the corner out of range of the units. and only the host had view of the whole map, the other had fog of war. Just wanted to let you know cause with this bugs the map is not really playable with more than 1 player. And the units aren't of equal number on all players. The very differnt. 5 Waves and one had 182 but the other got 252, so not really fair or?
Yes, I actually played the map today and it seems the lobby got screwed up. Player don't get the slots they're supposed to get, and I was even allied with the enemy units. Meh. I'll get right on that. Sorry for the inconvenience. (Hm... Saying that makes me feel rather important for some reason.)
Edit: Managed to fix the lobby issue (and now I feel really stupid). Working on the "cards not showing"-thing. I got to start trying the map in another slot then player 1.
@Zinatic, I noticed too that my enemies were allies and its a REAL pain in the ass clicking, Please fix asap. D:
Atleast default ally propertys too off, So i can turn it off manually, as a temp fix.
Theres always the trigger to set alliances to players i suppose. :|
It's fixed now. I don't know how I broke it, but the last version (0.3) fixes it - you're no longer allied with the enemy. Sadly, the map still only works for 1 player (in player slot 1). This is my first map so the triggers are a bit messed up, but I'm making my way through them and I'll have it up and running tomorrow if not tonight. Sorry about all this.
Edit: Well, at least I've learned that using comments is a great way of making heads or tails of what you've done. I have to go to bed now, but this will be fixed shortly.
Updated! Sorry all for releasing such a buggy version, but now everything's in order. Or should be, anyway. I can't find any more bugs but I'm sure someone else can.
Hope you'll enjoy it!
Edit: Balancing is hard. -.- Going to become easier to beat as I add the heroes, but it's already too easy. Hm... I wonder what would happen if I just doubled the enemy health...
I'm not sure what you mean, but all the standard poker hands / poker combinations are in the game - and has been from the start; High Card, Ace High, Pair, Rockets (this one isn't standard, I know, it's a Texas Hold 'Em term), Two Pair, Three of a Kind, Straight, Royal Straight, Flush, Full House, Four of a Kind, Straight Flush and, of course, Royal Straight Flush.
On another note, 0.6 is out. Fixed an issue with people leaving but their spawn points not being disabled. Also, it's a lot more challenging now then it was in the earlier versions. Heroes / shop coming soon!
I'm here to report two bugs i found/encountered a few minutes ago.
1. The waves start if players 1-4 handed in their cards but player number 5 has not so far (still enough time remaining), or something similar.
I've encountered it, when only me (player nr.5) and player no.3 were still in the game. (the other three left)
2. The bigger bug: When you hit the "Hand in" button rapidly, it is possible to get multiple units per turn. (5 in one turn is the most i've got.)
I hope it is clear what i meant. :/
I have also saved the replay, if you need it.
One Pair = Marauder + Hydra ,
One PAir (aces) = Rockets + Hydra ,
Two Pair = Hydra + Tank ,
Three of a Kind = Roach + Archon ,
Straight = Sentry + Marine ,
Flush = 2x Viking ,
Full House = Tank + 4x Marine //
I loved New Poker Defense in starcraft I and played it alot. It differs a bit in cards (old one only supports 7-10 JQKA=higher possibility of getting better hands) I am still missing Bosses, heroes and mining. Maybe you should change the mineralswinning for speedkilling into winning for highst hand.
EDIT: Sometimes units get stucked in corners, dont know if that happens because of the multiple clicking bug, but it happened always when sb used it.

Starcraft 2 truly looks too dark with low graphic settings. I think you should take screenshots while not recording.

I'm glad somebody finally made ui for the cards. Us has like 5 poke defenses and they all use units for some reason.. good job.

Hey, and what bout "Poker" combination? Poker without poker is quite weird ^^
Anyway, looks good.

Yep, rapidly clicking causes multiple units.
