I just want to start off by saying yes, i have quit publishing maps on battlenet but i have not quit making maps. This will be my crown jewel project (Not released 2 weeks from now lol) that i am working on and will be released when the current battlenet system is fixed up a bit. With that said i would like to introduce you to what i will be working on during this time period.. Win the Crowd.
Win the Crowd is a cooperative arena style map with a simple premise, win the crowd to win!
You and your friends will face off against the current top showoff champs known as the Ministry (Along with some extremely epic bosses). Below is a list of things that i plan to have in the actual game.
Features
-4Unique Classes each with 3 Tiers (6) total abilities
-Character Customization
-Multiple Difficulties
-Restart System, if you fail an encounter... just vote to retry and keep going!
-Focus Combat System - Land normal attacks in order to increase your focus level and move to the next tier of abilities, eventually moving to tier 3 and putting on quite the show! (This will use up your focus once you use it of course)
-Tug of War Combat - No HP Bars here folks, the matches (except bosses) begin with both teams having 500 crowd points. Everytime you land an attack your enemies crowd points will drop while raising yours, the same can be said about enemies attacks.
-Collision Camera - The camera will never collide with any objects obscuring your view! (I have got this working to a degree but it will be 100% eventually)
I am making this my official developement thread which i will constantly monitor and update with new videos and updates on whats being added and the progress. THIS WILL NOT BE DONE IN ONE WEEK lol.
This is looking nice so far.

The only thing I would say is make sure there are awards, and reasons to coninually play this map.
I know most "arena" type games i play. I only want to play them for a short amount of time, because my game experience does not change at all from game to game.
So as long as you are making sure the experience is slightly different per map, plenty of options to pick from.
Then it should be great!
Very cool concept. But yea, what Ash said. Make sure you add reasons for replaying. Personally I was a bit bored just watching the video...
Suggestions/Questions:
Maybe when reaching certain crowd levels the crowd throws objects into the arena?
Add a time limit? This doesn't necessarily have to mean pass or fail, but when the time limit is reached, it could determine the difficulty of your next opponent?
Will there be different looking arenas? Part of the reason for replaying would be something different to look at each time. You could appeal to the SC2Mapster community for help a la rrowland.
Any plans for a combo-strike system? ie: 3 hits in a row without interruption = bonus damage, or if both players have max focus you can dual-combo (plus an opportunity to make sweet cinematics) :)

There is a combo like system, the focus system. When you get to higher tiers you get more powerful attacks. Example would be in the video when i show Tier 2 it shows the combo for that tier, i got a good 8 hits in and when unleashed tier 2 whirlwind which is ALOT of hits lol. Yes there will be a feature that allows players to combine their focus IF they are all maxed to perform something quite spectacular :)
It looks pretty darn good. I like how the abilities are colorful and dodgable. I also like the idea of gaining the crowd's approval. VERY nice idea. Good job! :D

You need some sort of superpower that doesn't pwn the enemies like that, but instead, it RLY wins the crowd by like 100 pts per +!!! it needs to look MUCH more epic than that...I think... :D

You cant move :) if u miss ur screwed, that and u have to build ur focus all the way up to the max to even be able to use it lol THEN it sets u all the way back to zero :)
