So I used to make RPGs mostly but some other maps too in Warcraft 3. I never really published a complete map because I didnt have time. I was a leader of a map making clan. Now I have even less time, not even enough to learn the new editor. So I need a maker for my ideas, which I think will be played and very popular by a good maker.
If you know how to make SC2 maps fairly well but just cant get a great map idea, contact me and we will be famous!
I don't think it works like that. You need more than an idea to make a map. I doubt there's anything special or revolutionary about yours to the point where it's worth someone else's time to do all the work for you.
Dont post anything if you have nothing nice to say. And no its not "for me" its for whoever wants ideas for a map, who wants to make something but is stumped on an idea. So dont be a hater... All Im doing is trying to help provide the community something nice to play if someone has the ability to create it.
Its vague for a reason. So not everyone tries to make the same map. Thats why I put to contact me. Anyway I think this should end our discussion before you ruin my thread.
I made posts to help you. I don't foresee you getting much of a response. I'm attempting to inform you why. You seem so sure of your idea, but no one knows you. Show some credentials, or something.
And, for your information, no one is going to steal the idea for an RPG. An RPG takes months and months to make. The quality of an RPG is heavily dependent on its implementation and quality of implementation. Even if someone steals your idea, the burden is entirely on them to implement it well and polish the game. If they can do that better than you, then they deserve the popularity.
I took someone else's idea for an RPG in Warcraft 3 and it took me 5 years to make it. We're about making some fun games and having fun doing it, I just don't think anyone else could possibly be dedicated enough to take your ideas, make the best map ever, and not even contact you about it.
Here's a more important point. If all you're doing is supplying an idea, isn't it a best-case scenario that someone "steals" the idea to actually make it?
Post some bullet points for us about what makes your idea special and muster up some excitement.
Also, maybe you shouldn't open the thread by saying:
I'd have to agree with what a lot of the others said. Also, I don't think anyone is going to steal your idea. There are lots of members here in this community and a large portion of them have less than 4 maps done. Ideas are great and wonderful, but the amount of work that goes into a map makes mappers question whether or not it will be worth the time and effort (which is why I feel a lot of makes go undone).
Also, if I publicized my ideas I wanted to see in a map and someone 'stole' it. I would be honored. I would be thankful that someone else took the time to incorporate it into their map because it would allow me to play it without doing the work. You're ideas are your ideas, do with them as you please. All I am saying is, there are hundreds of mappers in this community who are actively and consistently making maps or at least trying to who are simply begging for ideas. It wouldn't be nothing to do a search for the maps in the database here, find a project that is even remotely similar to your idea and start pitching them ideas. It would basically achieve the same thing you're asking for, and who knows....it might even turn out to be better.
SC2mapster is a community where mappers get together, share ideas, help each other out, make some friends and have a good time doing what they love. If you're here to be famous, you're in the wrong place.

I'm not "being a hater". I'm express skepticism. Your post was incredibly vague.
Imagine if the guys who made Google said: "Dude, I have a great idea: A search engine that returns results very great! Does anyone know programming?"
Its vague for a reason. So not everyone tries to make the same map. Thats why I put to contact me. Anyway I think this should end our discussion before you ruin my thread.

As much as you want to argue with Vexal, being vague when trying to sell a concept to mappers will not garner the attention you desire.
"your ideas"
no offense but more people want to do their ideas first.
May I know what do you do for your daily routines?

The fun part of this is coming up with the ideas. The implementation part is the work.
