Well, we could wait for my beyond-gold map to come out. :P
Joking aside, I want to see which maps are actually worth to play. Of all the custom maps I've been trying the only one that was slightly enjoyable was Storm of the Imperial Sanctum. And I'm starting to avoid anything that has "Wars" or "Defense" in its name.
My map Haunted Temple is like the only map that is above bronze atm and its at the bottom of the pop list... pop list reset and it never came back up lol.
SotIS is quite nice indeed, just not the style of map I usually stay busy with but I'm sure if that gets reviewed it could reach a silver or-so score. It's a well made map compared to most I've played myself so far.
If you have a EU account, some used players can join and test it with you. Like it's a challenging/fast paced map, even it's easy to understand, it require some training to master.
If you need, i can make you an unlimited remake version (I disabled it because of popularity system, players are playing 6 times in a row, counting only for one...)
Hey, are you still doing reviews? I'm almost scared to ask, but how would you feel about reviewing my map (formation defense)? A good review on a sticky here might get it some attention and I'm worried that people are avoiding it simply because it has 'defense' in the title :(. It's in the early stages yet...the first non-beta release just got posted yesterday, so more will be added, but it would be nice to see what you think, as somebody who plays custom maps alot. If you give it a bad review...well, at least I have something to work with.
Despite it being categorized as a 'defense', I've put a lot more work into it than alot of those really lame TDs out there that took 15 hours to scramble together. I've added in custom achievements, a full tech tree, etc; The only two weaknesses I can see in it (being the biased creator that I am) are that the terrain is 100% utilitarian (hoping to improve that someday) and the learning curve is really steep until I find a reasonable way to add in a tutorial without making all the experienced players sit around for 3 minutes while the game starts.
But that's for you to decide I guess. Take a look in my sig. You'll find it there.
It seems interesting. I might give it a whirl when I have time (and my time with a decent computer is extremely limited and I devote most of it toward making my own map).
Hehe, cool looking forward to it. It must be getting received positively, since my first full day of having it online, it jumped to 173 games :).
Man, it's soaring up the popularity list. I'll have this patch done today and I'll be uploading it. Once it's done, feel free to jump on whenever you have time :).
if it is i'd recommend looking at "fringe" coop vs AI on eu server by nash
the terrain may be a little bland and its not on the same scale as ZHRPG but it's still quite a solid map (though do it with a decent group or things will be really hard)

I was one of the "candidates" to moderate this forum section. Just saying that maybe he should somehow find more time for his reviewing, if he wanted to apply to moderating this forum section.

I'd love to get a review of Card Command when you have the time. Thanks!
Here we go. Doodad Hunt is pretty much just a different flavor of Haunted Temple. The score is almost identical, too.
This is a Map Scorecard, not a full Map Review. I will not make my usual elaboration of the scores this map receives.

Silver: This map is not perfect, but is entertaining and of good quality.
Screenshots
The terrain is interesting with its interior and outdoor settings. The occlusion and lack of shadows is fairly annoying, however.
Kill those hidden doodads with fire!
Occlusion does not work as intended; the wrong things turn transparent and the important doodads that your camera flies behind stay opaque.
All the doodads are just little zerglings trying to survive in a cruel world.
Death is near and there is no escape. Also, I learned the hard way that being submerged in water doesn’t protect you from the fire.

Was Fort Doodad the only map you played Rev? Or did you get a chance to play all 3 that are on rotation?
Hi, Can you make a review of Bounty Hunters, please ? =)

Hm, sticky but last post in June 11, is this thread still active?
