Fight with, for, and against the Confederacy (No, not thatConfederacy.) in a series of thirty five-ish missions, divided into four campaigns. Watch as a poor and solitary map-maker struggles to meet his wildest expectations. Laugh at the result.
I'm currently working on the first map (The Art of War), which will be a storied tutorial. It will introduce the mechanics of the game. Beyond that, I plan to release the campaign by chapter, not by map, as elucidated in the project's post.
Wow, and I thought I had a lot of missions planned!
I took a good look at your map page, and I must say, you actually got me pretty pumped for this. It seems to be a different style of campaign than what've seen until now, forcusing less on the traditional style of RTS gameplay and more on custom mechanics and interesting ideas.
I wish you good luck with your project, and I shall try to keep up with your progress as much as I can!

StarCraft II: Annihilation Campaign - A 24 mission single-player campaign featuring unique heroes, custom tracks, boss battles, a varied set of mission scenarios and three intersecting storylines.
35? I would say it depends on the complexity and size of each map. Good maps can be made in 2 weeks to 6 months, depending on your experience, time, motivation and tools. At least you divide by four, so you focus on the first 7-8(?) maps. Hopefully that story can reach a good ending by then, and if you decide to continue you can always create a cliffhanger (I guess, I'm not a storyteller).
Custom campaigns are thing now and so far I seen and play them here and I have to say you guys put Blizz to shame with your storys and hell way better maps plus the dynamics are really cool. I say more please this is something I love to play better then Hots real campaign. I want to say to thank you for sharing your maps and time and genius.
In a way, I've been working on this map for years. The storyline elements have all been in place, the story itself has played in my head time and time again; and I've put it into the Starcraft engine in part via Cortex Roleplay. All that's left is terraining and data editing. My terraining has always been sort of hit and miss; sometimes I can pop off 256x256 maps in a week or two. Sometimes its taken me months. Data editing and triggers are the one thing I've never really done, and I'm sure they take up most of the time.
As I said in the project post, its sure looks like its going to be a bit of a ride.

Give us a teaser map so I can link you on the Custom Campaign Initiative page and people will be getting pumped!!
Good luck with your epic project! I've been on my 2nd map for 6 months!
The link is sorta confusing. I thought you might be some sophisticated spambot.
Oh and welcome to Mapster!! Small community but very supportive and helpful!!

35 missions? A bit ambitious, no? I'm on my 25th campaign map, and I've been working since the spring of 2012!
