Is there a way to disable the specific UI feature for the time cycle, or is it automatically disabled when paused?

1: Is it possible to change what lighting the day/night cycle uses for its day and its night? To be quite honest, the lighting it uses by default is quite ehh, especially when used on snowier maps. I'm sure it's directly ported or tries to replicate the Warcraft III lighting as best as possible, so that's understandable. However, for benefit of custom map-makers, if there is not a way to do this, I think there should be.

2: Failing that, is it possible to disable the cycle altogether?

After some testing it is indeed the Far Clip, so I suppose I'll just manually change that. Edit: The exact value of the far clip post-dependency installation was 40 units. The default camera's usual far clip (No war3 dependency) appears to be 600.

I find it interesting that it is apparently the Warcraft dependencies that induce this change.

    Update:

I've pinned down the issue to Renee's War3 Extra Ability Dependency, and possibly also her terrain dependency, if not both in conjunction.

I'm really not sure at all what is going on here. If you zoom out to a certain level, a blackness begins to eat away at the map. If I press ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel, the blackness recedes, yet always threatens to return. However, of prime concern is that when testing the map locally (I've not yet tested it online, although I don't think being connected to battle.net is the issue), the blackness persists if you zoom out far enough, or which a bit of terrain which elevates your camera high enough. This is a grievous graphical error that I hope someone here has experienced before, or knows how to fix.

The only dependency that I can see as to causing this issue is Renee's full War3 pack, minus the AI dependency, as it is the only one I've never used before. However, as I am not positive that it is the cause, I've refrained from putting it into the specific forums for her dependencies. If it is found to be the cause, hopefully this thread can be moved there, but hopefully by that time the issue will also be fixed.

In a way, I've been working on this map for years. The storyline elements have all been in place, the story itself has played in my head time and time again; and I've put it into the Starcraft engine in part via Cortex Roleplay. All that's left is terraining and data editing. My terraining has always been sort of hit and miss; sometimes I can pop off 256x256 maps in a week or two. Sometimes its taken me months. Data editing and triggers are the one thing I've never really done, and I'm sure they take up most of the time.

As I said in the project post, its sure looks like its going to be a bit of a ride.

I'm currently working on the first map (The Art of War), which will be a storied tutorial. It will introduce the mechanics of the game. Beyond that, I plan to release the campaign by chapter, not by map, as elucidated in the project's post.
