Hey guys this is off topic but just because I haveing a hard time on how design a board game for a school project I was wondering if I could get any ideas.
I am makeing a Cold War bord game about the Palmer Raids and the communist hunt I hope this is not a touchy subject for anyone but I was wondering if I could get any ideas on how to make a communist hunt game fun the only requirements is that it must have spaces to move on and to be a board game.
how about a game similiar to scotland yard (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotland_Yard_(board_game), every player could have some sort of character (far right, mid left) and depending on cards he gets (loosing job) hiddenly supporting the communist

Well, let's start with basics. What does a communist hunt entail? Are you attempting to root out spies? If so, maybe something clue-like would work?
It entrails hunting and stoping the spread of communism.
