Hey guys :D I want to give you an informations about what i have found in editor
There are commanders which are coming in the future:
Valerian
Tychus
Stukov
Overmind
Alarak
Dehaka
Nova
Nova and Alarak are coming this year. It's sure for 70%, the 30% are that they will change them, idk...in editor are all these characters got something.
There are new taldarim effects. Nova is upcoming commander, I know it thanks to commander panel and then Alarak.
I upload few sounds what i have found...just listen to it!
I don't mind paying if it supports rts games. I don't really want to play with abathur or the overmind, but I would be super into paying for Alarak or Nova.
Coop has been a lot of fun and I hope they can successfully monetize it without driving too many people away.
No, but mostly they are worthless, a good DLC example would be the GTA IV ones(Lost and Damned/Ballad of Gay Tony). Also we already paid tons of money for Starcraft 2: WOL+HOTS+LOTV+Nova DLC so paying +5euro for each new coop commander is a HUGE NO. Especially if they contain almost no new thing we can not recreate in the editor.
Yea, I think Blizzard notice that the Co-up and the arcade are the only two things that still attracts people to SC 2. Overall the Ladder system, 3.4 update will encourage some people to go back to SC 2 but that will only effect the game for a certain time. Till it will be again in the struggle system they are in right now.
I wish that some SC 2 people will gang-up together making Co-up maps, just to show how good some of you are exspecialy when you guys work together:D
I see really nice Campaigns, but they almost never get played (or is that because Blizzard dont anouce new arcade games that good (for instance Spotlight should be updated weekly (For different Genres, so people can see which games are currently working on and which games are Populair).
Blizzard will from now only make new commanders payable, ofcourse its fun to have them but after a few games playing with them its like the every game if you constantly have to start from the standard things, standard builds etc. It will be borring in the end and it will not grow.
Co-up is special now because its now every week change because of the Mutations.
I wish you guys on SC2mapster, will team up and show Blizzard you as community can make the same almost without all the tools they got. And maybe they will help the arcade afterwards.
Example: Make the Campaign Wings of Liberty, for Multiplayer, with Co-up.
There are already such things. I think the community already shown many times what we can achieve but 1) Blizz still didn't do a lot they promised 2) People are lazy to look after any new maps and play the same few stuff mostly.
Yea, I am quit new to this forum. So dont know which things you already tried?
Blizzard never came to this website or contacted one SC2mapster, what you guys want or exspect from the editor?
Or you guys have to wait for the next: Warcraft (Game) game that come out where they will lisen to a few of your ideas. So you guys will follow and help that game standing for a longer period.
Its not that they totally not listen but they had a bad start and wol+hots was like an alpha/beta version of what we have now in lotv arcade vise. And we can agree that not even the current lotv version helps many projects. For example most of the campaigns are unknown because campaigns are not supported by arcade at all. Also most of the changes came too late.
I gladly payed for Abathur, the commander is awesome and a lot of fun, Also The DLC business model is better of EA, Bethesda, Activision etc... And is not cut content recycled

With all due respect, that means that anything and everything Blizzard does with the editor is essentially worthless? So the people who made the campaign maps (not the voice actors, not the engine guys, or writers, but the actual guys who wrote data and triggers), shouldn't be paid?
Blizzard is a business. They have employees. If their employees work on an addition to the game, they have to be paid. It is reasonable to have a $5 cost for new commanders, as long as they are truly different from what is already in the game.
With all due respect no. We wouldn't have the editor without that. But if you think Abathur was a hard work to do i have to laugh. He doesn't worth the 5 euro, not for me. And none of the commanders will worth me to spend extra 5 each time on a game i spent already a lots of money. On steam sales i can buy full games from that money. This coop commander DLCs are the bad example of DLC. Almost no content for 5 euro is a lot. Nova campaign is a good DLC so far, that worth my money.
You know you can distract those models when they will publish it with the next update. Or do you need to buy the commander to get those units in your editor.
Still I think they should not make this unit: sale seperately... they should make it free for the people who got the Nova expansion what is a bit overpriced.

All models will be available with the next patch.
Yeah, i'm eager to get my hands on those and toy with a new visuals :}. Models which came with Alarak were pretty sweet man, can't wait to get nova effects. The library of special effects has grown drasticaly after LotV release and now with these new commanders it just gets better.

Overmind as a commander would be awesome.
Hopefully not DLC like a certain new one...

They said all future commanders would be paid.
I dont see my self paying for this. I already paid £58.69 I believe it should come for free.

Sounds good, that jives with what I've seen.
Out of curiosity, do people think DLC = bad, by default?
I can understand not wanting to get nickel and dimed, but I fail to see the issue with more granular content with more granular payments.

I think also, Blizzard dont want to let people know they can play free campaigns else they will lose sales of their own campaigns.
To bad blizzard dont infest in the arcade community, but see it as a project that can keep the game last longer a live.

New commander is anounced its: Nova
I really like the model type-2 of the raven. Its like the arbiter model broodwar:D
