I've been asking this alot, and I got some help, but I still am a little bit unsure on exactly where to go. I'm using kill resource in the data editor, and I'm wondering how to make it so the minerals gets split in half and goes to player 1 and the other half goes to player 2 if they're both in game. If they're both not in game, then it stays the same. What do I do? Triggers? Or is there something in the data editor? I'm really confused on what to do, and I can't figure it out.
I think he's looking more for general question, not specific. It's newbie wednesday so it should be helpful to everyone, not a few.
Anyways I thought of a another question. How do you setup stuff for multiple players? Like say you have a wasd movement system, yes I know it's laggy, and you want it to work for everyone and they each control their own unit or you have a character select screen and you want to have each player spawn the character they selected. I always have trouble with wrapping my head around multiple players in triggers.
How to do tilesets from different tilesets(Like have 1 tileset from each tileset)
How would you create brush similar to League of Legends(inside the brush you are invisilbe to people outside the brush, unless you attack an enemy. anytime someone enters the brush with you, they can see you

OK, How do you stop team resource sharing ( is it with a UI trigger whichdisallowsit? and how do stop the resource sharing when a person leaves?
How do you change a .sc2map file into .sc2mod also does it work the other way? I have a .sc2mod file. I would like to change to .sc2map so it will allow me to place units again, so I can test some new models and stuff, then change it back to a .sc2mod
searching the site it says its as simple as just renaming it to .sc2mod however where am I doing this? becuase when I do that all that happens is something like spells.sc2mod.sc2map so it don't really change it, I right click the map/mod and click rename but all the happens is im changing the name, not the extension

Is there a way to customize/modify the minimap appearance? I don't mean shape, size or location of the minimap itself, I want to more clearly define an area. I have a space platform in my map that just kind of gets lost amongst all the noise and blackness, you can see the dots for the units/structures clearly (Fig. 2) but I'd prefer for it to look something like Fig. 1 (done in MS Paint).
I'm the newbiest newb on Data Editing and I would like to create a new spell for a hero with a spell effect, all on datas. (I think Meph did his spell that way with his SmashCraft map)
So, how do we do?
Exemple of nice spell: Super Charge: Hero goes forward and knock the first target it encounters. At 2 foots from the target unit, create huge explosion of lights. Targeted unit is pushed back 3 foots.
