It's been a long time , I have been away for so long. I missed you guys while I was gone! I am recovering from a terrible car wreck of 11 cars and on my way to complete recovery.
I have been mapping again and learning how to prevent editing of units attributes in single player mode with databank saves but I have a question that I cannot figure out for the life of me.
I am trying to figure out how to find the level, or exp of a character in memory, Where and what do the values look like for example I have a lvl 9 ghost and its roughly 5200/6000 exp to level. How do I find this in memory with a program like Cheatengine ? I have tried looking for the values backwards exmp: 6000-5200=800 then the reduced value for each exp gained. No luck.
If anyone has any helping ideas, Please leave some tips.
Why are you interested in hacking though?. In a multiplayer environment it will only crash/desync the game.
Tracking the value might be difficult but not impossible. You need to find a pattern through observation on incrementing/decrementing the value in real time(in the map) and comparing that with the stats dump on the cheat engine.
I am looking to offset the numbers so that they cant be saved in a single player bank when the map is played by itself, I have the mineral value ( which is the only resource I am using ) to be unchangeable , I am trying to do the same thing to a Hero unit. I want the map to be playable by yourself so that you can practice. But I also would like people to be unable to save the bank file with a hacked unit that has higher levels.
I am unable to find the real time value of the unit exp gain with cheat engine, I dont know what value to even start with if the unit has 0 exp. Because 0 exp isnt working either.
I have already got flags set so that when some one turns on cheats, everything disables and ends the game for the player.
Yes, welcome back. I remember seeing you around here when I was under lurker mentality. It's a pleasure to see return of old member.
And thought of playing fun single-player maps also excites me. I'm not much of a help concerning your question, so good luck on finding what you need.

Welcome back Misu, was wondering where you had gone! Have a speedy recovery, and glad to have you back :)
I`d be lying if I said the feeling was mutual;p;p

The map can be played single player to practice and level up or multi player to make it much more fun and harder.
