So patch 1.2 has come and first thing this morning we wanted to test to see if anything with our map was broken. As we assumed things were not as they should be. While I expect that this problem is unique to us it was still pretty funny and I hope other map makers if they have run into any amusing bugs will feel free to post them here as well.
The best way I can describe this bug is that whenever a unit attacks now in our map a blue Baneling is created in the center of the unit and as u can see the portrait of our hero also becomes a Baneling. We all had a good laugh......and then quickly fixed the issue (which was not an issue with 1.2 lest anyone misunderstand it was completely of our own doing).
Sorry for the poor quality of the thumbnail images sadly my skills posting images on forums are very lacking, But regardless hope it provides some entertainment for everyone.
How did you fix it? Everything in my map turns into banelings now.
Edit: 'Explain' link resolved this. Looks like an actor got a new event somehow, or the event is now handled differently. The actor was being created when someone attacked.
Yeah that's how we fixed ours. Since we are all pretty experienced with the data editor we went straight for the actor events because we noticed it was happening every time a unit tried to attack. Still funny as hell.
I'm not sure if this qualifies as a funny bug but it sure as hell is damn annoying.
I code with custom script, and for some reason, my script isn't getting highlighted properly when i code. This makes it very hard to catch syntax errors and the such. If this isn't a bug, i really wonder whats causing it.
I don't know about you guys, but my 2 uploaded projects seems to be messed up in the lobby when I create a game... The teams variants seems to be locked to what I've set in the editor (which is normal) but the lobby menu shows all team settings (2 teams, 3 teams, FFA, 4 teams,... and so on). It seems like almost anything in the lobby is just messed up (or at least it shows as if it was, even if the settings work as they should).
This is definitely not going to help me like the lobby system...
actually compared to the bugs we had when the game move from beta to live this is rather tame. We were practically crying when live happened because some much of our stuff broke.
Ok this is maybe not a funny bug, but when I press the "show new only" button, almost every map shows up, both new ones and old ones. This is annoying because I have published a new map.

Invasion of the banelings!
Reminds me of
1.2 KILLED my command card for edited merc combound, resetting it to original in a weird way.
I was dropped in the middle of the game. Message: INVALID LOGIN.
Also, my game crashed on the loading screen.
edit:
Custom maps are disappearing. I have to refresh a couple times for a map to show up again in the list.
only bug for me so far is i converted my 25mb map into 5-6 mod files i had to cut one mod file because at a certain number sc2 client crashes.
thanks for letting us use more mods blizzard. so we can crash our client.

I can’t edit tooltips in my map anymore. When I try to edit them the coloring of the text is messing up.

Thank god I haven't run into any troubles yet.

If you are using Panels in any dialog, trying to destroy the dialog will crash the game.

what kinda panels do you refer to? i have dialogs with images, buttons and labels on them but i don't seem to have this problem you speak of.

The new Panel dialog item they added.
Some people are getting game desync while loading a custom map with bank signatures.
