So it looks like Arcane, Vindicator, NiceUsername, and myself will be attending BlizzCon this year. If anyone else is going, shoot me a PM and I'll buy you a drink.
Questions for you all:
1. What new SCII editor features would be the most beneficial to new mapmakers?
2. Any questions you'd like us to pass onto the dev team?
arcade comes to hots finally? how do they plan to bring in more people to the arcade.
the sc2 story was just a dream, wasnt it? the real one will be released?
Oh! An Art Tools update would be really nice. And maybe some explanation of how to work with, say, the new Nova model, which seems to break anyone's attempts at editing.
Be sure to check out the extension mod: Hots Custom Map support on NA and EU, Despite the name it greatly expands the roster of options for the default 3 races and is updated all the way to NCO.
Sry to give the bad news mates. Mat moris said yesterday there will be no new DLC content going forward in 2017. reason "we want to concentrate exclusively on co-op right now" So no stukov, dehaka, alar dlc. Sad stuff
Gotta be honest, I'd be completely fine with them churning out co-op content over the mission packs. I enjoyed the Nova pack, but I've gotten a lot more enjoyment out of new co-op content. Can't wait to see how they plan to expand it.
Sadly they can make more $$ with less effort from coop stuff. I'd rather pay for more campaign content. Stukov coop commander looks interesting. Anyone have pic/video of the nove 3rd mission pack teaser?
"We are also working with Blizzard to create “curriculum” scenarios, which present increasingly complex tasks to allow researchers of any level to get an agent up and running, and benchmark different algorithms and advances. Researchers will also have full flexibility and control to create their own tasks using the existing StarCraft II editing tools."
I don't really like CO-OP, and probably wont buy anything for it. (Got so hyped expecting it to be a galactic-conquest open-end campaign style, not 6 rotating campaign missions with random enemies)

Honestly IMO more Campaigns would be better...
thank god i am not the only one who thinks co-op is boring
God thank fuck. Finally no more DLC releases that fundamentally break maps. Thank god I dont have to worry about that anymore.
Here we debate, some do not like, that way of playing, in my case I do not like having to pay for something I already have, every month or two months.
I prefer a campaign, well done with a good story and cinematic, than paying for things reused.
Wishful thinking...some type of acknowledgement from Blizzard of Mass Recall and the Custom Campaign Initiative. Even just a little hype helps out us so much!! Well...Mass Recall doesn't need the hype, but all the small fries do!! Especially as there isn't anymore DLC coming down the pipeline.
Stukov looks awesome. I've been having a ton of fun playing with Alarak and Nova on the Coop hype train, but I only have like a hour or two a week to play...so its always a lot of fun for me. I can not wait for the Left for Dead map, that is going to be nostalgic and awesome!!!!
At this moment, the development team is still there, after so many years, they are much skilled than the moment they made WoF. They now can make maps and campaigns faster and better than years ago.
So if there are new DLC plans, the development team can keep the dimensions for future plans. Making co-op doesn't need a big development team. (although a lot of guys already joined the HotS team now.)
We maybe don't need the DLC, which you think is fool and not wrong. But we still need the team keeps trying.
Besides, the campaign game elements are ideas for the co-op too.

Should be interesting to see what changes are made to the editor to support the AI effort. From DeepMind blog
